Major Morgan W. Dudley
Commanding Officer
Headquarters Company, 25th Marine Regiment

Major Morgan W. Dudley is a native of San Angelo, Texas, and earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio, commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in May 2008 through the Officer Candidate Course/Platoon Leaders Course Combined Program. Following his commissioning, he attended The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia, graduating in 2009. He reported to Pensacola, Florida, for Initial Flight Screening with Marine Air Training Support Group 21 and then Corpus Christi, Texas, with Marine Air Training Support Group 22 in 2010. Following the successful completion of Primary Flight Training with VT-27 “Boomers”, First Lieutenant Dudley chose to redesignate to the ground component, graduating from Marine Corps Combat Service Support School, Camp Johnson, North Carolina, in 2011 as a 3002 Ground Supply Officer.

In 2011, First Lieutenant Dudley reported to 3rd Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, aboard Camp Kinser, Okinawa, as the Company Commander for General Support Maintenance Company. During this time, he supported exercises in Thailand, South Korea, and Japan. Later in 2012, Captain Dudley reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard Camp Hansen, Okinawa. His first assignment was the Battalion Supply Officer, with additional duties including Executive Officer of Troops aboard USS Bonhomme Richard and Forward Operations Officer for the MEU Regimental Command Element. He continued to support exercises in the Philippines, Australia, Thailand, and South Korea.

In late 2013, Captain Dudley left active-duty service and redesignated as an 1803 Assault Amphibian Vehicle Officer, affiliating with Charlie Company, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion in Galveston, Texas, as a Select Marine Corps Reservist.  He would serve as the Maintenance Platoon Commander, AAV Platoon Commander, and Company Executive Officer. From 2016 to 2018, Captain Dudley assumed Company Command of Charlie Co., 4th AABn. During this time, the company would respond to rescue and recovery operations associated with Hurricane Harvey in the greater Houston area.

In 2018, Major Dudley reported for duty at Marine Corps Forces North in New Orleans, Louisiana, as an Advisor Team Leader with the Theatre Security Cooperation Team-Mexico.  After training at the Marine Advisor Course in Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, Fort Story, Virginia, he deployed with teams to multiple locations throughout Mexico, assisting and training with the Mexican Naval Infantry Corps through 2019.

In 2020, Major Dudley was assigned as the G-33 Current Operations Planner, Senior Watch Officer, and MEF Liaison to MCIPAC for Emergency Management for III Marine Expeditionary Force aboard Camp Courtney, Okinawa, and later as G-33 Deputy Current Operations Officer from 2021-2023. In addition, he briefly served on the S-3 Staff for the 5th Marine Regiment to support future deployments of the III MEF area of responsibility.

In August 2023, Major Dudley was assigned to the 25th Marine Regiment where he currently commands Headquarters Company.

Major Dudley’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Gold and Bronze Medals in Pistol and Rifle from the 2012 Far East Division Matches, and graduated with Distinction from Command and Staff DEP, Marine Corps University in 2021.
