First Sergeant David S. Warren Jr.
Insepctor-Instructor/Site First Sergeant, Marine Corps Advisor Company A

First Sergeant David Warren entered the Marine Corps in July 2001 and completed recruit training at MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina October 2001 where he graduated from 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, Echo Company.  After graduating from Marine Combat Training in December 2001, he was sent to On The Job Training with HMLA-269 in New River North Carolina. In January 2002 Private First Class Warren attended the Aviation Electrician course in Pensacola Florida. August 2002 he was promoted to Lance Corporal and completed the Aviation Electrician course. Lance Corporal Warren then attended the follow on school in Lemoore California, where he graduated   and was assigned the MOS 6337, F/A-18 Avionics Technician. 

In October 2002, Lance Corporal Warren was assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251. While with the squadron Lance Corporal Warren deployed to Kuwait in March of 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. In August 2003 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In January 2004 Corporal Warren deployed with the squadron to Iwakuni, Japan in support of the Unit Deployment Program. In February 2005 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. 

In April 2006, Sergeant Warren reported to Drill Instructor School at MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina.  There he served as a Drill Instructor, and Senior Drill Instructor, with the 2nd Recruit Training Battalion. He also served as a processing Drill Instructor for Receiving Processing Company.  

In June 2009, Sergeant Warren reported to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, where he served as a Shop Supervisor. He was then promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in October 2009. Staff Sergeant Warren then served as one of the SNCOs of the Avionics Division. In June 2011 Staff Sergeant Warren was then selected to move over to the billet of Maintenance Controller. During his time with VMFAT-101 he deployed to Iwakuni, Japan twice.  

In May 2012, Staff Sergeant Warren reported to Officer Candidates School, Quantico, Virginia, where he served as a Sergeant Instructor, Platoon Sergeant and Academics Instructor. In January 2014 he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. 

In May 2015, he transferred to Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 for duty; where he served as the Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of the Communication/Navigation/Weapons Shop. Gunnery Sergeant Warren was then selected in December of 2016 to the rank of First Sergeant. He was subsequently frocked in January of 2017 to his present rank and received orders to School of Infantry East. 

In March of 2017, First Sergeant Warren reported to the School of Infantry East where he served as the Company First Sergeant for Alpha Company, Infantry Training Battalion. In May 2018 he transferred to Mike Company to serve as the Company First Sergeant. In July of 2019 he report to Marine Corps Advisor Company A; in Washington D.C.    

First Sergeant Warren’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars in lieu of third award, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
