Sergeant Major Keith Connor
Site Support Sergeant Major, Marine Air Control Group 48

Sergeant Major Connor graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, CA. Aug 1996. Upon completion of recruit training, he was ordered to Marine Combat training Battalion Camp Pendleton, CA. upon completion he was ordered to Military Police School, Anniston, AL. for basic law enforcement instruction. In December of 1996, Private First Class Connor was ordered to HqSvcBn, Camp H.M. Smith, HI, and was assigned to the Provost Marshals Office. During his tour, Corporal Connor served as Desk Sergeant, Patrol Supervisor and Special Reaction Team member.

In April of 1999, Corporal Connor requested and received orders to Marine Security Guard School, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. Upon graduation he was screened and selected for a designed country and received orders to United States Interest section Havana, Cuba. In September of 2000, Sergeant Connor received orders to American Embassy Amman, Jordan.

In May of 2002, Sergeant Connor received orders to Provost Marshals office, Marine Corps Logistics base, Albany, GA., Staff Sergeant Connor served as Watch Commander, Special Reaction Team Leader and as the S-3 training chief.

In May of 2005, Staff Sergeant Connor was ordered to Headquarters and Service Battalion, Military Police Department, Marine Corps Base Hawaii and served as a Watch Commander and Special Reaction Team Leader.

In October of 2008 Staff Sergeant Connor requested orders to the School of Infantry (SOI) East as a student at the Marine Combat Instructors Course (MCIC). Upon completion of MCIC, SSgt Connor was assigned to Company I as a combat instructor. From December of 2009 to October 2010 he was assigned to Company I as a Combat Instructor and Platoon Commander. After completion of Advanced Course he was assigned to MCT Bn’s Instructor Group as the Tactics Chief until Aug 2010. From Aug 2010 to Jan 2012 he served as Company I’s Company Gunnery Sergeant and Company First Sergeant.

In January 2012 Gunnery Sergeant Connor received orders to 2d Law Enforcement Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Forces where he served as Company B, Company 1stSgt Sergeant. In May of 2012 GySgt Connor deployed with 3rd Battalion 10th Marines as a Special Weapons and Tactics advisor to 1st ANCOP Brigade, Kabul, Afghanistan. Upon return GySgt Connor was assigned as S-3 training chief.

In March 2013, after being selected to First Sergeant he received orders to 3rd Bn, 11th Marines, serving as Battery K and Battery I’s, Battery First Sergeant, deploying in the winter of 2014-2015 as part of the Unit Deployment Program with 12th Marine Regiment.

March 2016, he received orders to Headquarters and Service Battalion, HQMC, Henderson Hall as the Headquarters Company First Sergeant.

In March 2019 he was selected to SgtMaj and received orders Marine Attack Squadron 542 as the Squadron Sergeant Major until Nov 2020 when he received orders to Marines Aerial Refueling Squadron 252.

Sergeant Major Connor’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star and the Army Achievement Medal.
