Master Sergeant Scott P. Chamberlin

Master Sergeant Chamberlin attended Marine Corps Boot Camp in November 1997 and graduated in January 1998 from Parris Island, SC and then went on to attend Marine Combat Training (MCT) at the School of Infantry, Camp Lejeune, NC and graduated in February 1998. 

Following MCT, he attended Naval Air Technical Training at Pensacola, FL and graduated from Aviation Structural Mechanic Course (A School) in May 1998 and then attended Naval Air Maintenance Training Group at Cherry Point, NC and graduated from KC-130 Airframes Mechanic Organizational Maintenance Course (C School) in August 1998.

Private First Class Chamberlin was then assigned to VMGR-452 in Newburgh, NY as a Selected Marine Corps Reserve Marine (SMCR) where he was activated and deployed in February 2003 to Bahrain in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Corporal Chamberlin was transferred to the Inactive Ready Reserve in November 2003 and completed his eight year obligation in November 2005.

In April 2006, Corporal Chamberlin reenlisted into the SMCR and began an Active Reserve Career in July 2006 stationed again at VMGR-452.

In 2009, Sergeant Chamberlin graduated from Basic Recruiters Course as well as Prior Service Recruiter (PSR) Course and was assigned to 8th Marine Corps Recruiting District, in San Antonio, TX as a Prior Service Recruiter where he was selected as the FY 2010 Prior Service Recruiter of the Year for Western Recruiting Region and competed at MCB Quantico for the Prior Service Recruiter of the Year.

Upon a successful completion of four years on Recruiting Duty, Staff Sergeant Chamberlin was assigned to VMGR-234 in Fort Worth, TX where he deployed again to Bahrain in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. In 2017, Staff Sergeant Chamberlin transferred back to VMGR-452. While there, he deployed to Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force in Sigonella, Italy as well as Moron, Spain and returned to VMGR-452.
 
In September 2021, Gunnery Sergeant Chamberlin was assigned to VMGR-234 in Fort Worth, TX as the Assistant Maintenance Chief for the next two years. During this tour, he was selected for Master Sergeant and was assigned to VMFT-401, the "Snipers" in June of 2023 where he is currently the Senior Enlisted Advisor as well as the Maintenance Chief.

Master Sergeant Chamberlin holds a Green belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, an Expert Rifle Qualification (fifth award), Expert Pistol Qualification (5th award).

Master Sergeant Chamberlin's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal w/ Gold Stars in lieu of 4th award, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal w/ Gold Stars in lieu of 4th award, and the Marine Corps Recruiting Ribbon.
