1stSgt Rafael D. Encarnacion

1stSgt Encarnacion is a native of the Dominican, Republic. 1stSgt Encarnacion grew up in Port Chester, NY and graduated from Port Chester High School 1stSgt Encarnacion enrolled in college and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. 1stSgt Encarnacion completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina in October 2000 1stSgt Encarnacion then reported to School of Infantry at Camp Geiger, North Carolina.

1stSgt Encarnacion completed Mortar Training in October 2001 as a Mortarman (0341). From March, 2001 to December, 2003 1stSgt Encarnacion was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Mar Div. in Weapons Company 81 MM Platoon-Reserve. where 1stSgt Encarnacion was promoted to the ranks of Private First Class and Lance Corporal where In 2003 to 2004, 1stSgt was activated to deploy to An-Nasariyah, Iraq with 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Mar Div. in Weapons Company 81 MM Platoon where served as the Squad Gunner and participated on Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom. In 2004 1stSgt Encarnacion volunteered to go to a deployment with II MEF UNITAS, South America deployed to Peru in the Jungle Platoon (3rd Platoon) and served as 3rd Platoon Squad Leader where 1stSgt was promoted to Corporal.

Between 2004 to 2007 1stSgt Encarnacion was back to 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Mar Div. in H & S Company-Reserve as the S-3 Platoon Sergeant/Training NCO in 2006 1stSgt Encarnacion got promoted to Sergeant. Between 2004 to 2007 1stSgt Encarnacion was back to 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Mar Div. in H & S Company-Reserve as the S-3 Platoon Sergeant/Training NCO in 2006 1stSgt Encarnacion was promoted to Sergeant. 2007 to 2008 1stSgt Encarnacion was activated to deploy to Camp Korea Village, Iraq as the S-3 Platoon Sergeant/Battalion Watch Chief and Training NCO. 2008 to 2009 1stSgt Encarnacion was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Mar Div. in H & S Company S-3 I & I Staff as the Training NCO and overseeing NBC training and accountability and participated on OIF8.2 MNF-W MWSG37 3MAW MHGIMEF/IIMEF and OIF 9.1 MNF-W MWSG37 3MAW MHG IMEF/IIMEF 2009 to 2010 1stSgt Encarnacion got promoted to Staff Sergeant .

2010 to 2011 he was back to assigned to 2nd Battalion, 25th Marines, 4th Mar Div. in H & S Company S-3 Shop as the Operations SNCOIC; overseeing NBC training and accountability, H & S Company Uniform Victim Advocate as well as the Naval Militia Representative for H & S Company-Reserve. 2011 to 2012 he was activated to Stuttgart, Germany with Africom Security Cooperation Team, MARFORAF as a Military Infantry Advisor/Mentor/ and Trainer for the African Countries; African Contingency Operations Training and Assistance (A.C.O.T.A.) Program also as a NON- Lethal weapons Instructor.

2013 to 2017 1stSgt Encarnacion is assigned to Environmental Service Division Attachment D an Individual mobilization Augmentees, New Orleans, LA as An Environment Hazmat Technician. 2013 he attended the Talisman Saber 2013 as a Hazardous Material Response Team Leader in Australia. In 2014 1stSgt Encarnacion was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant.

2017 to 2019 1stSgt Encarnacion was assigned to Operations Chief- Chemical Biological Incident Response Force CBIRF-Reserve. Successfully completed training and passed the evaluations for the following disciplines: Confined Space Rescue, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Emergency Actions, The proper use of the Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR), High Angle Evacuation Procedures, Level A,B, and C Protective Suites, Chemical Sampling Procedures, Heavy Lifting and Moving Operations, Mechanical Advantage, Rope Rescue Techniques and FEMA Search, Rescue and Marking procedures, High Yield Explosive Response procedures and Hazardous Materials Responder at the Operations level meeting and exceeding the 29 CFR 1910.120. 2019 1stSgt Encarnacion got promoted to the rank of First Sergeant.

2019 to 2021 1stSgt Encarnacion Assigned to Direct Support Company 6th Comm Bn FHG as the Company First Sergeant.

2021 to 2022 1stSgt Encarnacion Assigned to Def Cyber Ops IDM Bravo Company 6th Comm Bn FHG as the Company First Sergeant.

2022 to Present 1stSgt Encarnacion is currently serving as Company First Sergeant, Battery I, 3d Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment.

1stSgt Encarnacion's awards include Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with a bronze start, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation with a bronze star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon with a bronze star, Iraq Campaign Medal, Presidential Unit Citation-Navy, Certificate of Appreciation, Certificate of Commendation, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.
