Implementation of Combat Marksmanship Tables 2-6

18 Mar 2015 | Cpl. Gabrielle Quire U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve

Marine administrative message 132/15 announces the implementation of rifle combat marksmanship tables 2 through 6 to replace the current tables 2 through 4d within entry level and annual combat rifle marksmanship training and evaluation.

The purpose of the changes made to the marksmanship tables are an effort to maximize the progression of skill sets within the combat rifle program. The refinement of these tables through testing and validation has produced standardized courses of fire and associated range commands to be implemented Marine Corps wide.

Changes to Table 2 are still currently under consideration. Until units and their supporting staffs are fully trained on how to execute the updated tables of fire, units will continue to shoot Tables 3a-4d. Implementation of Tables 2-6 will come into full effect Jan. 1, 2016.
