Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills, commander of Marine Forces Reserve, presents a folded flag to the widow of Sgt. Carson Holmquist, a motor transport maintenance chief with Battery M, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, during his funeral July 25, 2015 in Grantsburg, Wis. Holmquist, along with three other Marines and a Sailor, was killed in an attack at the Naval Operation Support Center and Marine Corps Reserve Center in Chattanooga, Tenn. on July 16, 2015. Staff Sgt. Paul Wood, a CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter crew chief with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 774, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, sits in the helicopter as it prepares to take off during an area familiarization flight as part of Integrated Training Exercise 4-14 here June 7, 2014. The flight was the first flight operation during the two-week exercise and the first time the pilots had flown in a desert environment since last year’s ITX. ITX is the largest Marine Corps Reserve training exercise with more than 4,000 Marines and sailors participating from units across the United States. Marines and corpsmen embark a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter Nov. 7 at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma during a training event. The Marines and sailors trained on how to properly board and disembark a helicopter as well as securing a stretcher with a casualty in a helicopter. The Marines and corpsmen are with 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
