The Personal Financial Management Program assists Marines, Sailors and their families in obtaining and sustaining personal financial success. The Personal Financial Management Program (PFMP) encourages personal financial responsibility and accountability through training, education and counseling.

Additional Information



  • Confidential Financial Counseling – Available with an Accredited Financial Counselor or a trained, command-appointed Unit Command Financial Specialist (CFS). 


  • Blended Retirement System (BRS) Opt-In TrainingTraining is available on MarineNet (BRSOPTIN01), JKO (P-US1332) or classroom setting provided by an accredited Personal Financial Management (PFM) or trained, command-appointed CFS.


  • Reserve Marines (SMCR) can earn a point toward retirement by completing the Blended Retirement System Opt-In training via MarineNet using code: RESERVEBRS (if completed while not in a duty status).


  • Credit Reports and FICO Scores - What you don’t know can hurt you. A FREE tool to get you and your family on the right path to financial success.


  • Command Financial Specialist Training (CFS) The first line of defense in the war against financial mismanagement at the Unit level. Training is offered quarterly at MARFORRES.  


  • Training and Education – Available on a variety of financial topics, upon request.
