First Sergeant Stone hails from High Point, North Carolina. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on May 26, 2009. He attended recruit training at Paris Island, South Carolina. After graduating recruit training, he attended Marine Combat Training (MCT) at Camp Geiger, North Carolina. Following completion of MCT he attended Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training at Camp Johnson, North Carolina, where he received the MOS of Maintenance Management Specialist (0411).
In November of 2009, First Sergeant Stone received orders to 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he served as the Maintenance Management NCO for the Command Element. In August of 2010, First Sergeant Stone deployed with the 26th MEU aboard the USS Kearsarge. In December of 2010, he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal before returning to the continental United States in April of 2011.
In October of 2011, First Sergeant Stone reported to 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California. While there he was attached to Alpha Co. and later with the Communications Platoon. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in May of 2013.
In June of 2013, First Sergeant Stone reported to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, where he served as Battalion Maintenance Management Chief. In October of 2013 First Sergeant Stone deployed to Afghanistan in support of OEF 13.1 and OEF 13.2. He returned to the continental United States in April of 2014.
In July of 2014 First Sergeant Stone reported to Marine Air Support Squadron 2, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan. His billets there included Squadron Maintenance Management Chief, S-4 Platoon Sergeant, and Squadron Color Sergeant. While there he participated in many joint military operations. In 2015 First Sergeant Stone was selected as the Marine Air Support Squadron 2 and the Marine Air Control Group 18 Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year. He was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in November 2016.
In July 2017, First Sergeant Stone reported for duty at Drill Instructor School Class 4-17, Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD), San Diego, where he completed 5 cycles as a Drill Instructor with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion. He finished his time on MCRD as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor with Special Training Company.
In November 2020, First Sergeant Stone reported to Combat Logistics Regiment 17, Camp Pendleton, California. While there he served as the Regiment S-4 Chief, the Maintenance Management Chief and was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in March 2021. In June 2022 he deployed to Palau as the Regiment Watch Chief.
In July 2023, First Sergeant Stone checked in to 10th Marines aboard Camp Lejeune as 10th Marines Maintenance Management Chief. First Sergeant Stone was frocked to his current rank January 6th, 2025.
On January 15 2025, First Sergeant Stone reported to 1st Battalion, 6th Marines as the Alpha Company Senior Enlisted Leader. In February 2025 he rapidly deployed with his Company to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of Joint Task Force Southern Guard for 110 days.
In August 2025 he deployed to Okinawa, Japan in support of the Unit Deployment Program East. Upon returning from Okinawa, Japan in February 2026 he attended and completed First Sergeant School in Quantico, VA.
In June 2026, First Sergeant Stone assumed his current duties at Site Support Greensboro, 4th Combat Readiness Regiment, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Greensboro, North Carolina. He is currently serving as the Inspector-Instructor Senior Enlisted Leader.
First Sergeant Stone's personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with 3 gold stars in lieu of forth award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 2 gold stars in lieu of third award, Good Conduct Medal with 4 bronze stars in lieu of fifth award, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
