Biography

 

Captain Keith G. Lowell
Inspector-Instructor, Detachment Delta

Captain Lowell enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserves in January 2003 and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in March 2012 through the Officer Candidate Course Program, having completed his undergraduate education in Psychology at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.

Following The Basic School from June through December 2012, he was assigned the Military Occupational Specialty of Military Police Officer and reported to Military Police Basic Officer Leadership Course (MPBOLC) in Fort Leonard Wood, MO from January through May 2013.  Upon graduation from MPBOLC Captain Lowell reported to 3d Law Enforcement Battalion in Okinawa, Japan.  During this tour, Captain Lowell served as Platoon Commander, District OIC of Camp S. D. Butler PMO through the Fleet Augmentation Program, and Company Commander and participated in various exercises in the Pacific theater, including Cobra Gold in Thailand in February 2014 and Freedom Banner/Ssang Yong in South Korea in February 2016.  In early 2016 Captain Lowell was selected for the Commandant’s Career Level Education Board (CCLEB).  

In April 2016, Captain Lowell received orders to Recruiting Station Richmond, 4th Marine Corps District, Eastern Recruiting Region, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, serving as Recruiting Station Executive Officer from April 2016 through June 2019.  Following successful completion of this tour, Captain Lowell was again selected for CCLEB and attended School Year 2020 Expeditionary Warfare School from July 2019 through May 2020.

Upon completion of Expeditionary Warfare School, Captain Lowell received orders to Naval Amphibious Force, Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (TF 51/5), Bahrain as the Deputy Antiterrorism/Force Protection and Law Enforcement Integration Officer.  He also acted as the TF 51/5 COVID-19 Working Group Lead. In July 2021 Captain Lowell reported to Detachment Delta Company, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, Force Headquarters Group as the Inspector-Instructor.

Captain Lowell’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3rd award) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
