First Sergeant Manuel D. Lennon
Inspector-Instructor Unit Senior Enlisted Leader
Communications Company, 14th Marine Regiment

First Sergeant Lennon is a native of Managua, Nicaragua.  First Sergeant Lennon enlisted in the Marine Corps in November 2003.  He attended Recruit Training at MCRD, San Diego, California.  Upon graduation, First Sergeant Lennon next completed Marine Combat Training, (MCT), at Camp Pendleton, California, and MOS training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. Upon graduation he received the MOS 2111, Small Arms Technician.
 
In April 2004 First Sergeant Lennon received orders to 2nd Battalion 11th Marine Regiment (2/11), 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California. While assigned, First Sergeant Lennon served as a Battalion Armorer and was promoted to Lance Corporal.  In August of 2004, he deployed to in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he served as the Golf Battery Armory Chief and the Commanding Officer's gunner.  
 
In December 2004, First Sergeant Lennon was combat meritoriously promoted to Corporal. In January 2005, he was reported to Headquarters Company, 2/11, to serve at the Battalion Armory Noncommissioned Officer-In-Charge (NCOIC). In January 2006, First Sergeant Lennon was appointed the 2/11 Armory Chief as a Corporal.  
 
In June 2006, First Sergeant Lennon was promoted to rank of Sergeant. Upon promotion he became the Battalion Color Sergeant. He conducted countless ceremonies, including representing the Marine Corps in the Solomon Islands and Guadalcanal and performed 8 Color Guard ceremonies for the city of Irvine, CA.  In 2007 First Sergeant Lennon was 2/11 Marine of the year. Due to his combat experience, First Sergeant Lennon was assigned duties as Urban Assault instructor, Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) instructor and Combat hunter instructor. In this role he trained all subordinate units in preparation for deployments to Operation Iraqi Freedom.
 
In December of 2007, First Sergeant Lennon received orders to Drill Instructor School, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California. Upon graduation, First Sergeant Lennon reported to 3rd Recruit Training Battalion. During this period, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.  As a Drill Instructor First Sergeant Lennon completed 6 Green Belt Drill Instructor billets and 3 Senior Drill Instructor billets.
 
In July of 2010 First Sergeant Lennon reported to Weapons Field Training Battalion as a Section Chief.  There First Sergeant Lennon oversaw the Crucible event at Recruit Training Battalion. In this role he improved and reconstructed multiple training stations also was Range Safety Officer for all Gas Chambers at the Recruit Depot.
 
In March of 2011 First Sergeant Lennon received Order to, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines. Upon arrival First Sergeant Lennon assume the duties of; Battalion Motorcycle President, Equal Opportunity Advisor, the Battalion Senior Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor Trainer and the Battalion Commander's Personal Security Detail. In 2012 First Sergeant Lennon deployed on the 15the MEU, conducting combined training missions alongside Timor Leste Defense Force and the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces. In 2014, First Sergeant Lennon deployed to Okinawa, Japan with BLT 3/5 on the 31st MEU. While there he conducted training operations with Philippine Marine Corps.
 
In February of 2015 First Sergeant Lennon reported to, Headquarter Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines, 4th Marine Division, where he served as the Battalion Ordnance Chief and Battery Gunnery Sergeant. 
 
In August of 2018, First Sergeant Lennon received Orders to III Marine Expeditionary Force Support Battalion (III MSB), Okinawa, Japan where he served as the Battalion Ordnance Chief and acting III MSB First Sergeant.  While there he participated in numerous exercises throughout the Indo-Pacific region. First Sergeant Lennon later reported Headquarters Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force to serve as the acting First Sergeant.
 
In June of 2021 First Sergeant Lennon received orders to Headquarters Company, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. There he served as the Regimental Ordnance Chief, conducting and planning logistical movement for all Ordnance matters for the Unit Deployment Program (UDP), ensuring proper coordination with UDP East, West, Hawaii, and Fuji, Japan. In March of 2022, First Sergeant Lennon was promoted to his current rank of First Sergeant.
 
In July of 2023, he received orders to his current duty station as the Inspector-Instructor duty, Communication Company, Site Support, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Cincinnati, Ohio and currently serving as the Inspector-Instructor First Sergeant.
 
First Sergeant Lennon graduated American Military University with Bachelor of Science Degree in Security Management. His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with 2 gold stars in lieu of 3rd award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 4 gold stars in lieu of 5th award, the Combat Action Ribbon. Ribbon and in 2011 he received the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. His hobbies include Riding his Motorcycle, Weightlifting, Baseball, golf, Slow Pitch Softball and Cycling.
