Scott A. Roberts is a native of Jacksonville, North Carolina. He attended Oregon State University, and was subsequently accepted in the Platoon Leaders Course finishing Juniors in 2013 and Seniors in 2015. Upon graduating in 2016, he commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and reported to The Basic School and Marine Artillery Officer Basic Course in 2017.
In January 2018 reported to 1st Battalion, 11th Marines, assigned as a Company Fire Support Officer attached to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines and deployed with the Battalion as a part of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Upon redeployment he was assigned as the Battery Executive Officer, for Battery I, (3/12), 1st Battalion, 11th Marines.
In June 2020 Captain Roberts checked in to Battery P, 5th Battalion, 14th Marines as the Inspector-Instructor.
