Captain Paul S. Brown III
Inspector-Instructor, Fox Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment

Captain Brown commissioned into the United States Marine Corps from the University of Pittsburgh on 14 May 2011. He reported to The Basic School in Quantico, VA on 18 Oct 2011 and completed the school in May of 2012.

2nd Lieutenant Brown completed the Marine Corps Field Artillery School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in Nov 2012. Upon completion he reported to 1st Battalion, 12th Marines on 12 December 2012. During his time there he served as the Battery B Fire Direction Officer and Headquarters Platoon Commander and then as a Forward Observer for Alpha Company 1st Battalion 3rd Marines. While on the Unit Deployment Program from June –Dec 2014 he served as the Executive Officer for Headquarters Battery, 12th Marines in Okinawa.

Upon completion of his deployment he served as the Battalion Fire Direction Officer for 1st Battalion 12th Marines. In the spring of that year he received Individual Augmentation orders to Afghanistan. He joined Deputy Chief of Staff - Security Assistance/Combined Security Transition Command – Afghanistan to serve as an Operations Intelligence Officer. Half way through the deployment he became the Aide de Camp for the Commanding General of the unit. He returned from Afghanistan in March of 2016 and is currently the Inspector Instructor of Fox Battery 2nd Battalion 14th Marines.

His personal awards are Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
