Are you new to New Orleans?

Is this your first time at this duty station? Are you new to the New Orleans area and have questions about what it’s like to live here? Are you curious about living conditions, school conditions, and other quality of life issues?

In July 2012 Marine Forces Reserve conducted a 43-question quality of life survey of all its military and civilian employees who live and work in the Greater New Orleans area. The purpose was to gather information on where they live, where their children go to school, their child care arrangements, and their thoughts and concerns about the local community.

A total of 266 responses to the survey were received. The results were collected by Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) and are posted HERE. The answers that were given may prove useful to you as you make your own decisions about housing, commute times, or where you’d like to send your children to school.

If you have questions about the survey, have suggestions on how to improve it, or are curious about what services MCCS has to offer please email us at mfrmccs@usmc.mil or call us toll free at 1 (866) 305-9058. We would also like to urge you to visit our website at MFR MCCS
