MCI Courses Transition to MarineNet

28 Apr 2015 | Cpl. Gabrielle Quire U.S. Marine Corps Forces Reserve

Marine administrative message 209/15 announces the closure of the Marine Corps Institute in spring 2015, making the College of Distance Education and Training the sole distance learning provider for the Marine Corps.

Students will no longer be allowed to enroll in any MCI courses beginning May 1, 2015.  If a student wants to enroll in a course that was formerly an MCI course, they will need to do it through MarineNet. By July 31, 2015, all MCI course examinations must be completed and submitted via the MCI website, examinations received after this date will neither be processed nor transferred to MarineNet for credit.

After Aug. 1, 2015, all students will be disenrolled from all incomplete MCI courses, and command unit verification report access and functions will be disabled.  By the end of fiscal year 2015, the MCI website, will go offline and student services functions shift to MarineNet. The transition of MCI distance learning functions to CDET will then be complete.
