ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

Marine Forces Reserve Honors Maj. Daniel Carmick
Colonel Derrick Heyl, Commanding Cfficer of Headquarters Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, and Sergeant Major Michael J. Rowan, Sergeant Major of Headquarters Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, place a wreath at Major Daniel Carmick’s final resting place at St. Louis Cemetery No. 2 in here, Nov. 9, 2016. The Marine Corps visits Carmick’s gravesite annually to conduct a wreath laying ceremony and commemorate his heroic actions.
