First Sergeant Johnny R. Moore II
Inspector-Instructor Unit Senior Enlisted Leader

First Sergeant Moore is a native of Saginaw Michigan; he enlisted in the Marine Corps and reported to Hotel Company, 2d Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego on May 5, 2003. Upon Graduation, he reported to the School of Infantry aboard Camp Pendleton, California for Marine Combat Training where he was awarded the Gung-Ho award and voted most likely to want to serve with again. He was then assigned to his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) School, the Marine Corps Engineer School, Courthouse Bay, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina as a Basic Water Support Technician where he was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal.

He then proceeded to his first assignment and served as a reservist with 6th Engineer Support Battalion, Battle Creek, Michigan, where he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In November 2007, Corporal Moore transitioned becoming an active duty Marine and reporting to 3d Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 3d Marine Logistics Group, Okinawa Japan for duty. In May 2008, Corporal Moore deployed to Iraq with Combat Logistics Battalion 4, where he served as the Utilities Chief for his Platoon, and would later be promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

In December 2009, Sergeant Moore would report to 7th Engineer Support Battalion, Camp Pendleton California where he would serve as the Utilities Section Platoon Sergeant. In November 2011, Sergeant Moore deployed with Combat Logistics Battalion 11 aboard the U.S.S. Makin Island and served as the Maintenance Chief and Platoon Sergeant for the Engineer Detachment. 

In October 2013, Sergeant Moore would report to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego California for Drill Instructor School. Upon graduation, Sergeant Moore would report to 2d Recruit Training Battalion, Hotel Company, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego California. In November 2014, Sergeant Moore was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. As his time progressed he would also receive the Dan Daly award, and win Honor Platoon as a Senior Drill Instructor, and serve as the Operations Chief for 2d Recruit Training Battalion from May 2016 to October 2016.

In December 2016, Staff Sergeant Moore would report to 2d Medical Battalion aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he would serve as the Maintenance Chief for the Utilities Platoon. In December 2017, Staff Sergeant Moore transferred to 2d Medical Battalion Head Quarters and Service Company to fill the billet of Company First Sergeant. In October 2018, Staff Sergeant Moore was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant, and transferred back to the Utilities Platoon to serve as the Utilities Chief for 2d Medical Battalion.

In September 2019 Gunnery Sergeant Moore reported to the University of Arizona Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps and serve as the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor.

In October 2022 Gunnery Sergeant Moore would report to  with Marine Air Control Squadron 1, Air Traffic Control Company K located aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California and serve as the Utilities Chief. In January 2023 Gunnery Sergeant Moore was selected and frocked to the rank of First Sergeant. First Sergeant Moore was immediately transferred to assume his current duty as a Company First Sergeant for 1st Radio Battalion. 

First Sergeant Moore's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with four gold stars.
