Marine Aircraft Group 49 Detachment B (MAG-49 Det B) is a Marine Corps Reserve basing location with three commands, including a Site Support unit responsible for supporting two reserve squadrons of the United States Marine Corps.  MAG-49 Det B is based at Stewart Air National Guard Base (ANGB) in Newburgh, New York and falls under the command of MAG-49 and the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing.  The Site Command provides installation, administrative, logistical, medical, and family support for Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 49 and Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 452, while also supporting normal independent duty functions to include management of military funeral honors and color guard details, Toys 4 Tots, and other community relations activities.

Provide Site and training support for Select Marine Corps Reserve units at Stewart ANGB in order to ensure sustained operational and mobilization readiness.
