Biography

 

Colonel Trevor C. Thibodeau
Inspector-Instructor
1st Civil Affairs Group

Colonel Trevor Thibodeau enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on February 19, 1992.  Upon graduation from High School, he reported for boot camp at MCRD Parris Island, SC on January 20, 1993. After completion of Marine Combat Training (MCT) and Military Police training at Fort McClellan, AL, he executed orders to MCAS Tustin, CA, where he served as a Military Police Officer.

In July 1995, Lance Corporal Thibodeau completed the Marine Security Guard School in Quantico, VA.  From 1995 to 1998 he served as a Marine Security Guard posted at the American Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya and later the American Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  In May 1998, Sergeant Thibodeau returned to Quantico VA and executed his end of active service (EAS).

In July 2001, Trevor Thibodeau graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Psychology and received a Marine Corps Commission as a Second Lieutenant.  Following completion of The Basic School (TBS), in Quantico, VA, Second Lieutenant Thibodeau attended Air Intelligence School and Joint Targeting School in Dam Neck, VA.  From 2013 to 2014 Major Thibodeau attended Marine Corps Command and Staff College (resident), Marine Corps University, in Quantico, VA.  From 2020 to 2021 Lieutenant Colonel Thibodeau attended National War College, National Defense University, at Fort McNair in Washington, D.C., where he earned a Master of Science in National Security Strategy.

Colonel Thibodeau’s previous officer assignments include: G-2 Targeting Officer-In-Charge (OIC), 3rd MAW, MCAS Miramar, CA; Intelligence Watch Officer, Tactical Air Command Center, 3rd MAW, in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, Al Asad, Iraq; S-2 Intelligence Officer, Marine Aircraft Group 39 (MAG-39), MCAS Camp Pendleton, CA; Executive Officer, A Company, 6th Motor Transport Battalion, Orlando, FL; Reserve Liaison Officer, Program Manager Training Systems, MARCORSYSCOM, Orlando, FL; Inspector-Instructor, A Company, Intelligence Support Battalion, MCAS Miramar, CA; Reserve Incentives and Training OIC, Reserve Affairs, M&RA, MCB Quantico, VA; Operational Sponsor, HQMC Intelligence Department, The Pentagon, Washington, D.C.; Ground Watch Officer, Combined Joint Operations Center, Combined Joint Forces Land Component, in support of OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE, in Baghdad, Iraq; Executive Officer, Headquarters Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans, LA;   Reserve Integration Officer, Current Operations Branch (POC), Deputy Commandant for Plans, Policies, & Operations (PP&O), The Pentagon, Washington, DC.

Colonel Thibodeau currently serves as the Inspector-Instructor of 1st Civil Affairs Group, in Camp Pendleton, CA.

Colonel Thibodeau’s personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3rd Award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
