Marine administrative message 512/16 pertains to enlisted Marines who are interested in joining the Active Reserve program and outlines the submission process and administrative requirements for prior service recruiters, career planners and the individual Marine.

Guidance for officers seeking to join the AR program will be communicated annually via separate correspondence.
