Innovative Readiness Training Kodiak Care - 21

ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Arctic Care is a joint-service Innovative Readiness Training program exercise that allows service members to conduct real world training missions while providing assistance to Kodiak Island, Alaska residents. Marines with Marine Forces Reserve provide logistical support for the exercise, enabling fellow service members to provide no cost medical, dental, optometric and veterinary care to the community.
