Sergeant Major Esther C. Henriquez

Sergeant Major Henriquez assumed her current post as the Marine Aircraft Group 49 Detachment D Site Sergeant Major on 6 December 2022. Born in Pomona, California, and a completed recruit training in August at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, Beaufort, South Carolina.

In October 2001, Sergeant Major Henriquez was assigned the military occupational specialty 3052 - Preservation, Packaging, and Packing. Throughout her career, she has been assigned numerous duties at various locations across the nation and around the world. She served in the billets of Packaging Specialist, Hazardous Material Noncommissioned Officer in Charge
(NCOIC), Wooden Fabrication Section SNCOIC, and Fiscal Chief at 1st Supply Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California, 3d Supply Battalion, Okinawa, Japan, and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 24, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; Operations Chief for the MAGTF Materiel Distribution Center (MMDC) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan; Tax Center Deputy Director while serving at Combat Logistics Regiment 37, Okinawa, Japan; Drill Instructor with Company N, and Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, Chief Drill Instructor, and Company First Sergeant for Company O, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, Parris Island, South Carolina; Company First Sergeant while serving at Food Service Company, Headquarters Regiment, Camp Pendleton, California, and Headquarters Company and General Support Company while serving with 8th Communication Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; and Inspector Instructor First Sergeant while serving at Company D and Headquarters and Service Company, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, Tampa, Florida.

Sergeant Major Henriquez deployed in 2004 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to Iraq with 1st Supply Battalion, Combat Service Support Group 15 Forward, and again in 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Afghanistan with 1st Supply Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 15 Forward. She has also supported various training exercises to include Integrated Training Exercise 4-18 and a multinational maritime exercise - UNITAS LX in 2019.

Sergeant Major Henriquez's personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars, and various other Service and Campaign medals.
