First Sergeant Julio C. Arango
Inspector-Instructor Unit Senior Enlisted Leader

First Sergeant Arango enlisted in the Marine Corps on 22 February 2005. He attended recruit training at Marine Corps recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Upon completion, he attended Marine Combat Training (MCT) at Camp Geiger, NC. Following the completion of MCT, he attended to MOS School at Camp Johnson, NC where he received training as a Personnel and Administration Clerk (0121).

First Sergeant Arango reported to Headquarters Battery 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA where he served as a personnel clerk, during this tour he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal in November 2005 and to the rank of Corporal in September 2007. In February of 2009, First Sergeant Arango reenlisted and executed a lateral move to a Basic Electrician (1141).

In May 2009, First Sergeant Arango reported to 1st Medical Battalion, Combat Logistic Regiment 15 where he served as an electrician. He executed TAD orders to 7th Engineer Support Battalion in November 2009 and participated in Operation Enduring Freedom 9-2/10-1. First Sergeant Arango was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February 2012, and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 12-1 where he served as an electrician and Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge of Forward Operating Base Payne Role II Treatment Facility.

In May 2013, First Sergeant Arango reported to Recruiter School, MCRD San Diego, CA where upon completion he received orders to the 6th Marine Corps District, RS Fort Lauderdale, FL as a Canvassing Recruiter. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant in December 2015.

First Sergeant Arango was stationed in Okinawa, Japan from August 2016 to January 2024. During this eight years First Sergeant Arango served in multiple units. First Sergeant Arango reported to Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Okinawa, Japan where he served as Facilities Maintenance Chief aboard Camp Kinser and Camp Courtney. In November 2018, First Sergeant Arango completed Utilities Chief Course aboard Marine Corps Engineer School, Camp Lejeune, NC. In June 2019, First Sergeant Arango reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron-172, Marine Aviation Group-36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing where he served as an Utilities Operations Chief. First Sergeant Arango was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in November 2020 and in January 2021, First Sergeant Arango reported to 4th Marine Regiment where he served as a the Engineers SNCOIC and Utilities Chief.

In January 2024, First Sergeant Arango was frocked to his current rank and executed PCS orders to become the First Sergeant Inspector-Instructor of Bravo Company, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, 4th Marine Division in Jacksonville, FL.
