Gunnery Sergeant Kenneth G. Bell
Senior Enlisted Advisor, Marine Transport Squadron Belle Chasse

Gunnery Sergeant Kenneth G. Bell is a native of Atlanta, Georgia.  He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves in June 2000, and attended recruit training at MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina.  In September 2000 GySgt Bell reported to the School of Infantry for Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina.  Upon completion of training, he was ordered to 303 FREST for Helicopter/Tiltrotor Dynamic Component Mechanic at Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina.

December 2000, GySgt Bell was transferred to Marine Air Logistics Squadron 42 at Naval Air Station Atlanta in Marietta, Georgia where he served as an Intermediate Level Dynamic Component Mechanic.  In February 2003, GySgt Bell was mobilized and augmented to MALS-39 Camp Pendleton, California is support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

In February 2004, GySgt Bell was accepted to the Active Reserve program and ordered to Helicopter Maintenance Light Attack Squadron 773 Minus in Marietta, Georgia.  GySgt Bell attended his Military Occupational Specialty lateral move school to Helicopter Flightline Mechanic in May 2004.

In September 2007, GySgt Bell was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a Flightline Mechanic Collateral Duty Inspector.

June 2010, GySgt Bell was transferred to HMLA-773 Detachment Alpha in Belle Chasse, Louisiana as a Maintenance Controller and Phase Crew Coordinator.

June 2014, GySgt Bell was transferred to the First Marine Expeditionary Force in Camp Pendleton, California assigned to the Individual Mobilized Augmentee Reserve Liaison Office.

June 2017, GySgt Bell was transferred to Head Quarters Battalion Marine Forces Reserve in New Orleans, Louisiana assigned to the Provost Marshall Office.

June 2018, GySgt Bell was transferred his current assignment at Marine Transport Squadron Belle Chasse in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

Gunnery Sergeant Bell’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars in lieu of 3rd award.
