Biography

 

First Sergeant Brian T. Peeler
Unit Senior Enlisted Leader
Reserve Support Unit West/Deployment Processing Command

A native of Jackson, MS, First Sergeant Peeler enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 2001 and attended recruit training at MCRD San Diego. Upon graduation, First Sergeant Peeler attended Engineer Equipment Instruction Course located in Fort Lenardwood, MO. Upon completion of the school, First Sergeant Peeler was assigned to 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistic Group,
where he deployed to Iraq in Support of Iraqi Freedom and held billets Licensing Non- Commissioned Officer(NCO).

In September of 2004 First Sergeant Peeler was assigned to 7th Engineer Support Battalion 1st Marine Logistic Group to serve as the Platoon Sergeant in Charlie Company and deployed to Iraq in support of Iraqi Freedom. June 2008 First Sergeant Peeler reported to Houston, Tx 8th Marine Corps District where he served as Canvassing Recruiter at Recruiting Sub-station Northshore.

In March of 2011, First Sergeant Peeler was assigned to Motor Transport Company, Combat logistic Battalion 6 and assumed the duty as Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge. During First Sergeant Peeler's tenure he deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In august of 2013 First Sergeant Peeler transferred to General Support Company Combat Logistic Regiment 2 and
assumed the billet of Company Gunnery Sergeant.

First Sergeant Peeler reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, 3D Marine Air Wing on May 2014 and was assigned as platoon commander for Engineer Company, deploying to Bahrain in support of Operation Inherent resolve. Shortly after return First Sergeant Peeler assumed the billet of Senior Enlisted Leader For Engineer Support Company and deployed to Kuwait in Direct Support of Operation Inherent Resolve.

In August of 2018, First Sergeant Peeler was assigned to 3D Marine Division, 3D Marine Expeditionary Force in Okinawa, Japan. First Sergeant Peeler Served as the Division Engineer Chief as well as filling the billet if Engineer Chief Inspector for 3D Marine Division Logistical Readiness Inspection Team.

First Sergeant Peeler reported to Echo Company, 4th Tank Battalion, 2020 and was assigned as Company first Sergeant. while serving as the I&I first Sergeant Peeler assisted the battalion in completion of the deactivation of 4th Tank Battalion in support of the Marine Corps 2030 Force Design planning guidance.

First Sergeant Peeler was assigned to Deployment Processing Command, Reserve Support Unit West where he served as the Company 1stSgt.

First Sergeant Peeler's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with gold star, two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star in lieu of second award.
