Captain Jennifer A. Arroyo is a native of Los Angeles, California. Captain Arroyo attended California State University, Long Beach, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
In August 2017, Captain Arroyo was commissioned into the Marine Corps through the 10-week Officer Candidate School program. She completed The Basic School and was selected to attend the Military Police Officer Basic School. Captain Arroyo then reported to the Security and Emergency Services Battalion, Camp Pendleton, to serve as the Watch Commander. In September 2018, Captain Arroyo was selected to do an independent augment to the Georgia Deployment Program– Resolute Support Mission as the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Officer with the Security Liaison Team.
In April 2021, Captain Arroyo executed orders to Recruiting Station Orange, 12th Marine Corps District, as the Executive Officer. In April 2022, Captain Arroyo assumed the role of Operations Officer for Recruiting Station Orange, 12th Marine Corps District. During this time, Captain Arroyo received her Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine. Following the successful completion of recruiting duty, Captain Arroyo was selected for the Commandant's Career Level Education Board and attended the School Year 2025 Expeditionary Warfare School from July 2024 through May 2025.
In June 2025, upon completion of the resident Expeditionary Warfare School, Captain Arroyo was directed to the 4th Law Enforcement Battalion to serve as an Inspector-Instructor for Delta Company (-) in Billings, Montana.
Captain Arroyo’s military decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Recruiting Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, and Military Unit Commendation Ribbon.
