First Sergeant Christopher D. Rogers is a native of New Bern, North Carolina. He graduated from Rogers Christian Academy in Coats, North Carolina. Christopher Rogers enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve Delayed Entry Program in 2006 and attended recruit training in April 2007 in Platoon 2056, Echo Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Upon completion of recruit training in July 2007, Private Rogers attended Company E, Marine Combat Training Battalion-East, Camp Geiger, North Carolina. Following Marine Combat Training, Private Rogers attended the Marine Armored Crewman Course 1-08 in Fort Knox, Kentucky graduating in December 2007. He was promoted to Private First Class in October 2007.
In January 2008, Private First Class Rogers reported to Company F, 4th Tank Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he served as a tank crewman. In June 2008 he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.
In January 2010, Lance Corporal Rogers was assigned to the gunners position on the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank and qualified with his crew as Company High.
In June 2010, Lance Corporal Rogers participated with Company F in Operation African Lion in Tan Tan, Morocco. He was promoted to Corporal in July 2010.
Corporal Rogers was promoted to Sergeant in April 2012 and assigned the billet of Platoon Sergeant for Third Platoon. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant in February 2015.
In 2017, Staff Sergeant Rogers led a detachment of Marines from Company F to Vaernes, Norway in support of Operation Agile Spirit. He was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in March 2018 and was assigned the billet of Platoon Commander for First Platoon.
In October 2020, upon deactivation of Company F in accordance with Force Design 2030, Gunnery Sergeant Rogers reported to the II Marine Expeditionary Force Individual Mobilization Augmentee Detachment and was assigned the billet of Safety and Environmental Compliance Chief for 2d Marine Division.
In May 2022, Gunnery Sergeant Rogers was frocked as First Sergeant and reported to Rifle Company I, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment as Senior Enlisted Leader.
In January 2025, First Sergeant Rogers reported to H Battery, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment as Senior Enlisted Leader.
First Sergeant Rogers' personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
