Commanding Officer, India Battery, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment Captain Fabian R. Peraza

Captain Peraza will serve as the Battery Commander for India Battery 3/14 as of September 2019. He graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's degree in English.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and completed Marine Corps Recruit Training at Parris Island on 6 August 2010.  He then Marine Combat Training (MCT) and Marine Artillery Scout Observer's Course in Fort Sill, OK and the Fire Support Man Course in Coronado, CA to complete his training as an 0861 Scout Observer.

In December 2010, he checked into his first reserve duty station, 4th ANGLICO, in West Palm Beach, FL. He served as a Fire Support Man in a Firepower Control Team. While at 4th ANGLICO, he attended the Joint Fires Observer Course in Norfolk, VA in January 2012.

In May 2012, he was selected to attend Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA where he commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve in August 2012. He attended The Basic School where he graduated with Fox Company 6-12 in March 2013. Second Lieutenant Peraza attended Field Artillery Basic Officer Leader's Course 4-13 and graduated in September 2013. He checked into Battery G, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines and served as a Forward Observer, Liaison Officer, Guns Platoon Commander and Assistant Executive Officer.

In July 2016, Captain Peraza checked into Headquarters Battery, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines where he served as the Headquarters Battery Executive Officer.

In March 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Captain and concurrently became the acting Commanding Officer of Battery H, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines. He served in this capacity for 4 months and then assumed the role of Battery Executive Officer until March 2018.

Captain Peraza mobilized as part of the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Southern Command 18. He was part of the Ground Combat Element as a Mobile Training Team OIC with advisory missions in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Panama. He served in this capacity for MARFORSOUTH SCTT 19.1 where he conducted advisory missions in Peru, Costa Rica, and Antigua & Barbuda.

Captain Peraza is a recipient of the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He works in manufacturing as an operations manager for Ryan Homes and NVHomes in Delanco, NJ.
