First Sergeant Reyes is native of New York, NY. He joined the Marine Corps in November 2008. After completing boot camp and Infantry Training School at Marine Corps Camp Geiger in North Carolina, Private First Class Reyes reported to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines, where he served from May 2009 to February 2015.
In February 2015, he transitioned to Recruiting Station Baltimore as a Canvassing Recruiter, remaining there until June 2016. Following that, he served as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer In-Charge at the Recruiting Substation in Newark, DE, from June 2016 to May 2018. In June 2018, Staff Sergeant Reyes joined the 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines, where he held several key positions, including Operations Chief, Platoon Commander, Company First Sergeant, and Platoon Sergeant for both a Line Company and a Weapons Company.
In June 2021, Staff Sergeant Reyes checked into the Marine Combat Training Battalion (MCT), where he held various roles, including Company First Sergeant of Fox Company, Battalion Chief, and H&S Senior Enlisted Advisor.
Prior to enlisting in the Marine Corps, First Sergeant Reyes worked as a contract Private First Class while completing his college education. He was meritoriously promoted to Corporal in December 2011 and to Staff Sergeant in January 2017.
Throughout his career, First Sergeant Reyes has attended several schools, including Infantry Machine Gun Leaders (2011), Corporals Course (2012), Combat Hunter (2012), Infantry Small Unit Leader (2014), Sergeants Course (2014), Martial Arts Instructors Course (2014), Basic Recruiter Course (2015), Career Course (2019), Infantry Unit Leaders Course (2019), Marine Marksmanship Instructor Course (2021), Marine Combat Instructor Course (2021), Advanced Course (2024), and Legal Course (2025).
First Sergeant Reyes's deployments include Operation Enduring Freedom in June 2010 and December 2011, the Unit Deployment Program-East in August 2013, the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit in September 2019, and another Unit Deployment Program-East in August 2020.
He has received numerous personal awards, including the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one silver star and one gold star, the Good Conduct Medal with four bronze stars, the Combat Action Ribbon, one Letter of Appreciation, seven Certificates of Commendation, and 21 Meritorious Masts. In March 2010, he married Amy Lynn Hosking-Reyes of Kunkletown, Pennsylvania.
First Sergeant Reyes was promoted to his current rank in July 2025 and took on his present post at Site Support Folsom, serving in Inspector-Instructor duty as the Senior Enlisted Leader for the 25th Regiment, Truck Company, 1st and 2nd Platoons.
