Biography

 

First Sergeant Andres Lazo
Inspector - Instructor Unit Senior Enlisted Leader
Company F, 2D Battalion 25th Marine Regiment

First Sergeant Lazo enlisted in the Marine Corps in October of 2008. He attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. After graduating recruit training, he attended Marine Combat Training, School of Infantry at Camp Johnson, North Carolina. Following the completion, he attended MOS school at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola for Aircraft Mechanic (6000). After graduating from NAS Pensacola, he attended Secondary MOS School at NAS Oceana receiving the MOS F/A-18 Fixed Wing Airframes Mechanic (6257). 

In January 2009, First Sergeant Lazo reported to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 533, Beaufort, South Carolina, where he served as an F/A- 18 Airframes Mechanic. In February 2010, he deployed to Iwakuni, Japan in support of the Unit Deployment Program. During the period from February 2010 to August 2015, he would deploy several times to Iwakuni, Japan in support of the Unit Deployment Program.

In 2016, First Sergeant Lazo deployed to Isa Air Base, Bahrain in support of Operation Inherent Resolve where he served as Airframes SNCOIC. During his time at Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 533, First Sergeant Lazo served in the billets of Quality Assurance SNCOIC, Airframes Division Chief, and Maintenance Control Chief. 

In December 2019 First Sergeant Lazo would be promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and in March of 2020 First Sergeant Lazo be assigned to NAS Oceana, VA where he served as Master Training Specialist and Senior Enlisted Advisor. While attached to Center for Naval Aviation Technical Training Unit Oceana, First Sergeant Lazo received his Associate's degree in General Studies. In January 2024, First Sergeant Lazo was transfered to MATSD Oceana where he served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor. 

In June of 2024, First Sergeant Lazo transfered to Fox Company, 2nd BN, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division where he is currently serving as the Inspector-Instructor First Sergeant.
