Lieutenant Commander Virgil R. Strobridge (MSC)
Inspector-Instructor, 4th Dental Battalion

Lieutenant Commander Strobridge is the Officer in Charge for Site Support Marietta H&S BN, Marietta GA.       

LCDR Strobridge enlisted into naval service in 1989.  After attending Basic Recruit Training in Great Lakes, IL, he began his first military tour in 1990, on the USS Blue Ridge LCC 19 in Yokosuka, Japan as a Seaman Recruit.  He was transferred to PN’A School in Meridian, MS in 1992.  During the same year he was transferred to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72).  During his assignment, he was Command Advanced to Personnelman Third Class under the Command Advancement Program.   

His next duty assignment was at the Bureau of Naval Personnel Command (BUPERS) Washington, DC in 1994.  From BUPERS, he transferred to 2D Force Service Support Group (FSSG) Camp Lejeune, NC in 1997.  While station at Camp Lejeune, NC, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University (SIU).  In 2002, he arrived at Customer Service Desk Dahlgren, VA, where he advanced to the rank of Personnelman First Class and earned his Master’s Degree in Human Resources.  He then transferred to Marine Aircraft Group 31 (MAG 31) Beaufort, SC in 2006.  During his tour he was selected into the Health Service Collegiate Program (HSCP) in 2008.  His first assignment as a Medical Service Corps Officer was at the U.S. Naval Hospital Sigonella, Italy where he reported in July 2010.   His Second tour of Duty as an officer was at the Bureau of Naval Personnel Command (BUPERS) Millington, TN, where he was both the Branch Head and Rating Assignment Officer for PERS 407 in July 2013.   In July 2016 he became the Director for the Gulf Coast Multi-Service Market Office Biloxi, MS, the Air force largest Joint Venture Platform.
