Sergeant Major Adalberto Rodriguez
Inspector-Instructor Command Senior Enlisted Leader
2nd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment

Sergeant Major Rodriguez enlisted in the Marine Corps in October of 2001 and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina.  Upon completion, he reported to Marine Combat Training, School of Infantry at Camp Johnson, North Carolina and completed follow-on training at Meridian, Mississippi receiving the the MOS of 6672, Aviation Supply Specialist. While there he was promoted to the rank of Private First class. 
 
In 2002, Sergeant Maj Rodriguez reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 12, Marine Aircraft Group 12, Iwakuni, JP for his first assignment as a Aviation Supply specialist.

In December 2003, Sergeant Major Rodriguez reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 11, MCAS Miramar, CA.  Sergeant Major Rodriguez was assigned to the Repairable Management Division where he would hold multiple billets within the Aviation Supply Department. In February of 2003, Sergeant Major Rodriguez deployed with 3rd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion (LAAD) and assigned to Charlie Company in support of Operation Iraq Freedom (OIF).

In March 2005, Sergeant Major Rodriguez attended the Army Airborne School in Fort Benning, GA and received his jump wings. Upon his return to MALS-11, Sergeant Major Rodriguez would deploy in August of 2005, with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16 (REIN), in support of Operation Iraq Freedom (OIF). While on deployment he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in October 2006. Upon his return, Sergeant Major Rodriguez would be assigned to Repairable Control branch as NCOIC. In 2008, Sergeant Major Rodriguez would again deploy back to Al Taqaddam, Iraq.

In September 2009, Sergeant Major Rodriguez received orders to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 14, MCAS Cherry Point, NC. In January 2010, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.  In July 2011, Sergeant Major Rodriguez was attached to Marine Tactical Electronic Training Squadron1 (VMAQT-1) and immediately deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom while serving as the Aviation Supply Chief. Upon his return from deployment, Sergeant Major Rodriguez would attend Career Course at Camp Johnson, NC.

In January 2013, Sergeant Major Rodriguez received orders to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego for Drill Instructor duty. Upon completing Drill Instructor School class 2-13, Sergeant Major Rodriguez was assigned to Kilo Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion where he served as Drill Instructor, Experienced Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor and Chief Drill Instructor for Kilo and Lima Company. In May 2015, Sergeant Major Rodriguez was chosen to be an augment at Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA for class OCS-219.

In November 2016, Sergeant Major Rodriguez would be promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and receive orders to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, MCAS Miramar, CA. While in transit to his new command, Sergeant Major Rodriguez would attend the Advanced Course at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Upon checking into Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 16, in June 2016, Sergeant Major Rodriguez was assigned as the Detachment SNCOIC for the Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) in Twenty Nine Palms, CA. Upon his return from ITX, Sergeant Major Rodriguez was attached to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 165 (VMM-165) and deploy with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command (SPMAGTF) in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) where he served as the MALS-16 detachment SNCOIC from October 2016 to April 2017.  
 
In January 2019 he was promoted to First Sergeant and immediately assigned to 1st Battalion, 11th Marines as the Charlie Battery First Sergeant.  In June 2020, he was attached to Battalion Landing Team 2/4 in support of the 31st MEU.

In March 2021, Sergeant Major Rodriguez was transferred to site support Bossier City, LA to serve as the Inspector-Instructor 1stSgt for Company B, 1st Battalion, 23d Marines, 4th Marine Division.
 
Sergeant Major Rodriguez was promoted to his current rank in July of 2023 and assumed the position as the Inspector-Instructor Sergeant Major, 2d Battalion, 25th Marines in August of that same year.
 
Sergeant Major Rodriguez personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and holds a bachelor's degree in Criminology.
