Biography

 

Major Andrew B. Bickford
Commanding Officer, Communications Company, 14th Marine Regiment

Major Andrew B. Bickford is a native of Allen, Texas. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he was a member of the Naval ROTC graduating in May of 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Management Engineering.

Following graduation, Major Bickford attended Officer Candidate’s School and was commissioned in July 2009. After completion of The Basic School and Basic Communications Officer’s Course he was assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 15 where he served as the Assistant Regimental Communications Officer.

In March of 2012, Major Bickford deployed as the Battalion Communications Officer for 1st Maintenance Battalion (-) REIN in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Upon his redeployment in September of 2012, he assumed responsibilities as the Regimental Communications Officer for Combat Logistics Regiment 15. He served in this capacity until his departure from active duty in March of 2014.

In December of 2014, Major Bickford reported to 14th Marine Regiment where he served as the Regimental Communications Officer until March of 2019 when he reported to Communications Company, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division to serve as the Executive Officer.

On October 9th, 2020 he assumed his current duties as Commanding Officer of Communications Company, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division.

His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Major Bickford is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dallas, is a change manager for a fortune 100 company.
