First Sergeant Wilson is a native of New Jersey who enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and underwent recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina In November 2006. Upon completion, Private First Class Wilson attended Marine Combat Training at School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, North Carolina in February 2007. After graduating, Private First Class Wilson transferred to Marine Corps Detachment, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in March of 2007 for Military Occupational Specialty training as a Technical Engineer (1361). Upon completion of entry-level training, Private First Class Wilson was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.
In August 2007, Lance Corporal Wilson reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 212, New River, North Carolina where he served as a Drafter and Surveyor. In September 2007, Lance Corporal Wilson deployed to Taqaddum, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During the deployment, he served as a Rapid Runway Repair Technician, Fire Team Leader, and Construction Foreman. Lance Corporal Wilson was promoted to the rank of Corporal shortly after returning from deployment.
In May 2009, Corporal Wilson reported to 9th Engineer Support Battalion, Okinawa, Japan where he served as the Drafting and Surveying Chief and the Company Training Noncommissioned Officer. Upon arrival, Corporal Wilson participated in several training evolutions such as the Korean Marine Exchange Program (KMEP) and Exercise Balikatan, In March 2010, Corporal Wilson deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During the first three months of the deployment, Corporal Wilson served as the Drafting & Surveying Chief and as an Assistant Convoy Commander. Corporal Wilson was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in July 2010 and then continued the remainder of the deployment at Forward Operating Base Jackson, Sangin Village, Afghanistan.
In May 2011, Sergeant Wilson reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 371, Yuma, Arizona where he served as the Drafting and Surveying Chief, Company Gunnery Sergeant, and Company Operations Chief for Engineer Company as well as the Training Chief for the squadron. During the tour, Sergeant Wilson assisted in the execution of several operations which included multiple iterations of the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course (WTI) and the bilateral training event Exercise Burmese Chase.
In January 2014, Sergeant Wilson reported to Marine Corps Detachment Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he served as a Formal Schools Instructor, Course Chief, and Curriculum Developer for Engineer Equipment Instruction Company. During the tour, Sergeant Wilson also served as a Phase Chief within the Inter-service Training Review Organization under United States Army Training Doctrine Command. In April 2016, Sergeant Wilson was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
In September 2017, Staff Sergeant Wilson reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Okinawa, Japan where he served as the Drafting and Surveying Chief for Engineer Company, the Company Gunnery Sergeant and Company Senior Enlisted Advisor for Headquarters Company, as well as the squadrons Force Fitness Instructor and Martial Arts Instructor Trainer.
In September 2019, Staff Sergeant Wilson reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 271, Cherry Point, North Carolina where he served as the Drafting and Surveying Chief and Combat Engineer Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge. In February 2020, Staff Sergeant Wilson was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. For the remainder of the tour, Gunnery Sergeant Wilson served as the Engineer Company First Sergeant along with fulfilling the additional billets Unit Transition Coordinator, and the Chief Force Fitness Instructor and Martial Arts Instructor Trainer for the command.
In July 2021, Gunnery Sergeant Wilson reported to Marine Corps Detachment Fort Leonard Wood for a second tour where he served as the Company First Sergeant, Company Gunnery Sergeant and the Marines Awaiting Training Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge for Engineer Equipment Instruction Company.
In May 2024, Gunnery Sergeant Wilson was frocked to the rank of First Sergeant and reported to Company A, 1st Battalion, 24th Marines where he currently serves at the Inspector-Instructor Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
First Sergeant Wilson's personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star in lieu of 2nd Award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three gold stars in lieu of 4th award, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
