Biography

 

First Sergeant Jacob W. Wolfe

First Sergeant Jacob W. Wolfe enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in January 2007 and graduated from 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina in April 2007. Upon completion of recruit training, he attended training at the Center of Naval Aviation Technical Training in Camp Pendleton, California where he received the military occupational specialty of 6114, H-1 Mechanic Huey/Cobra Helicopters.
 
In September 2007, he received orders to Helicopter Marine Light Attack Squadron 269,  Marine Corps Air Station New River, Jacksonville, North Carolina where he served as a Flightline Mechanic. He was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal. He deployed with HMLA 269 in 2008 and was promoted to the rank of Corporal. In 2009 he was deployed to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon return he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. 
 
In May 2010, he was assigned to NATO Training Mission Afghanistan as an Individual Augmentee Police Trainer. Upon completion of the training with 2d Marines 2d Division on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina he deployed to Adraskan, Afghanistan. After the deployment he returned to HMLA 269, MCAS New River, Jacksonville, North Carolina. 
 
In May 2011 he deployed to Camp Dwyer Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom.  He returned in January of 2012. He then received orders to be an instructor for his military occupational specialty at the Center of Naval Aviation Technical Training Camp Pendleton, California. 
 
In April of 2014 he attended Basic Recruiters School and received orders to Recruiting Station Frederick, Maryland in June of 2014. He was assigned to Recruiting Sub Station Frederick. He was then selected to be the Pool Program Specialist and also a Military Entrance Processing Station Liaison for Harrisburg MEPS.  He was then promoted the rank of Staff Sergeant in 2014. 
 
Upon completion of recruiting in June 2017 he was assigned to HMLA 773 and served as the Tool Room Division Chief, Squadron Gunnery Sergeant, and Flightline Division Chief. 
 
In 2019 he was selected to become a Faculty Advisor at Quantico. He served as the Chief Faculty, CDET Instructor, and a Master Faculty Advisor of Advanced School  and Sergeant School in Quantico Virginia. 
 
In March 2023, First Sergeant Wolfe assumed duties as the Inspector-Instructor First Sergeant for Charlie Company, 4th Assault Amphibious Battalion, in Galveston Texas. 
 
First Sergeant Wolfe’s personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal with gold star,  Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star, Army Achievement Medal and various other campaign and service awards.
