First Sergeant Moulton enlisted in the in the Marine Corps on September 4th, 2007 and completed recruit training at MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina in November 2007. After completion of recruit training he volunteered for recruiters assistance before attending The School of Infantry East at Camp Geiger, where he completed Marine Combat Training from January 2008- February 2008. He then reported to the U.S. Army Defense School at Fort Bliss, El Paso Texas for the Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) Basic Gunner School. In February 2008 he was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal. In May 2008 he completed his MOS training and was assigned the primary MOS of 7212.
In May 2008 Lance Corporal Moulton reported into 3d Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California. During this tour, he fulfilled duties as a Gunner and Team Leader. In June 2009 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Corporal Moulton deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in February 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), during this time he led several mounted and dismounted patrols through local settlements and provided support for multiple calls for a quick reaction force where he and his squad provided security for personnel and equipment as well transport back to the local aid station.
December 2010, the newly promoted Sergeant Moulton submitted a lateral move package to become an 0241 Imagery Analysis Specialist, in August 2011 Sergeant Moulton completed the Tactical Imagery Analysis Course in Springfield VA at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and earned a new Primary MOS of 0241 and was assigned to 2d Intelligence Battalion, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina from November 2011- May 2014. During his tenure at 2d Intelligence Battalion he held multiple billets as an Imagery Analysis Specialist, and was appointed as a Team Lead. In March of 2013 Sergeant Moulton returned to Helmand Province Afghanistan as the Geospatial Intelligence Chief, responsible for answering all Requests for Information for all units conducting operations under Regional Command Southwest. In May 2014 Sergeant Moulton executed orders to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron-2 where he fulfilled duties as a Team Lead, in February 2015 he was promoted to Staff Sergeant. He was selected to augment to Marine Attack Squadron 223 and deploy to Isa Air Base in Bahrain, while attached to Marine Attack Squadron 223 Staff Sergeant Moulton was selected as the Intelligence Chief for the detachment and provided Intelligence for missions in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Upon return Staff Sergeant Moulton completed Career Course at the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer Academy on Camp Johnson, NC.
Staff Sergeant Moulton completed the Basic Recruiters Course in August 2016 and received orders to Recruiting Station Portsmouth New Hampshire as a canvassing recruiter. Staff Sergeant Moulton checked into Recruiting Sub Station Southern Maine where he fulfilled his duties as a Canvassing Recruiter, Station Commander, and Marine Enlisted Processing Station Liaison. In November 2018 he was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant and completed his tour successfully in September 2019.
In October 2019 Gunnery Sergeant Moulton checked into 2d Intelligence Battalion, shortly after his arrival he was assigned as the Imagery Intelligence Chief for 2d Intelligence Battalion, Operations Company. Gunnery Sergeant Moulton fulfilled his duties as the Imagery Chief until March 2021 where he assumed the senior billet of Geospatial Intelligence Chief and was responsible for the largest platoon in the battalion. During his tour at 2d Intelligence Battalion, Gunnery Sergeant Moulton lead a Multi-discipline Intelligence platoon to provide support to the entirety of II Marine Expeditionary Force. Upon completion of his assignment at 2d Intelligence Battalion he received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
Gunnery Sergeant Moulton executed orders and returned to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron-2 where he assumed his new billet as the S-2 Intelligence Chief and Squadron Gunnery Sergeant. As the Squadron Gunnery Sergeant, he assisted in the successful divestment and reorganization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron-2 to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Training Squadron 2. In November 2024 Gunnery Sergeant Moulton received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his contributions and accomplishments at Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Training Squadron-2.
In November 2024 Gunnery Sergeant Moulton executed orders to 3d Intelligence Battalion, Okinawa Japan. Gunnery Sergeant Moulton was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant in December 2024 and executed orders to 9th Engineer Support Battalion. First Sergeant Moulton was assigned to Engineer Company Bravo as the Unit Senior Enlisted Leader. While serving at Bravo Company First Sergeant Moulton deployed to South Korea and earned the Korean Defense Service Medal, after a successful tour which concluded in November 2025 he executed orders to 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, Fort Devens Massachusetts.
