First Sergeant Aaron T. Logan
Inspector - Instructor, Unit Senior Enlisted Leader

A native of Fort Wayne, Aaron Logan grew up in Woodburn Indiana and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on July 9, 2004. He reported to MCRD San Diego on March 14, 2005. He graduated from recruit training on June 10, 2005, and was meritoriously promoted to Private First Class. PFC Logan then reported to the School of Infantry West at Camp Pendleton, CA.
 
PFC Logan completed Marine Combat Training in July 2005. He then reported to Aviation A&C School in Pensacola, FL. PFC Logan Graduated from Air Traffic Control School with the MOS 7251, ATC Trainee in February 2006. Upon graduation, he was promoted to Lance Corporal and received orders to HQ & HQ Support Squadron, MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. 
 
In March 2006, LCpl Logan reported to HQ & HQ Support Squadron, MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, as an ATC Trainee. LCpl Logan was promoted to Corporal in July 2006 and earned the MOS 0931 after graduating from the Combat Marksmanship Trainer Course. Cpl Logan became one of three CMTs and range staff members aboard MCAS Iwakuni. During his time as a CMT, Cpl Logan executed a combat MOS reclassification, receiving a new designation as 1800, Combat Support. 
 
In March 2008, Cpl Logan Reported to Bravo Company, 2nd Tank Bn, 2nd MARDIV. In June 2008, he became a Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor (Green Belt). In July 2008, Cpl Logan reported to Fort Knox, KY, for the Marine Armor Crewman Course. In September 2008, Cpl Logan graduated with a distinction from the Marine Armor Crewman Course. Cpl Logan then reported back to Bravo Company 2nd Tank Bn, where he served as an M1A1 Tank Gunner. Cpl Logan was promoted to Sergeant in February 2009 and deployed with Bravo Company to AR Rutbah, Iraq, as a Provisional Infantry Section Leader supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom from April 2009 to August 2009. 
 
From September 2009 to March 2010, Sgt Logan served as a Tank Commander with Bravo Company, 2nd Tank Bn; during this time, he also completed Army Airborne School at Fort Benning, GA. In April of 2010, Sgt Logan was transferred to Charlie Company, where he served as a Tank Commander and Section Leader. In July 2010, Sgt Logan was hand-picked to serve as a Section Leader for a route clearance platoon with the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion. Sgt Logan deployed to Marjah, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from April 2011 to October 2011 with 2nd CEB, Route Clearance Company, Route Clearance Platoon 2. 
 
In November 2011, Sgt Logan returned to Bravo Company, 2nd Tank Battalion. In April 2012, Sgt Logan attended M1A1 Master Gunner School in Fort Benning, GA. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the 2nd Tank Bn MEU Platoon as the Platoon Master Gunner. Sgt Logan was deployed with BLT 3/2, 26th MEU, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from March 2013 to October 2013. Upon return from the MEU, Sgt Logan became the Company Master Gunner for Bravo Company, 2nd Tank Bn. In November 2014, he was promoted to Staff Sergeant and received orders to I&I Duty, Fort Knox, KY. 
 
In January 2015, SSgt Logan Reported to Company E, 4th Tank Bn, 4th MARDIV, Fort Knox, KY. There, he served three years as the Company Master Gunner, Anti-Terrorism Officer, Physical Security Officer, Assistant Training Chief, CBRN Officer, and Toys for Tots Coordinator. In January 2018, SSgt Logan was promoted to the Rank of Gunnery Sergeant and selected to serve on Task Force South West as a Senior Enlisted Advisor.
 
In March 2018, GySgt Logan reported to Task Force South West 19.1. In June 2018, he completed the Marine Advisor Course at Fort Story, VA. From September 2018 to July 2019, he deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, where he served as a Combat and Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Afghanistan National Army, 215 Corps, Regional Military Training Center, in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel. 
 
In July 2019, GySgt Logan returned to 2nd Tank Bn and was selected to serve as the Battalion Master Gunner. In March 2021, upon completion of the divestment of 2nd Tank Bn, GySgt Logan executed a PCA to SOI-E. GySgt Logan served as the Company GySgt for H&S Co, H&S Bn, SOI-E from March 2021 to February 2022 when he was frocked to the rank of First Sergeant and received orders to Maintenance Services Company, CLB 25, CLR 45, New Haven CT. 1stSgt Logan checked in to Maintenance Services Company on March 29, 2022, and serves as the Inspector Instructor Unit First Sergeant.
 
1stSgt Logan's personal awards include the Navy And Marine Corps Commendation Medal with/ two gold stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with/ one silver star and Combat "C" Device, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
