First Sergeant Baudanza is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in August 2005 and attended Recruit Training in Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, and was promoted to the rank of Private First Class upon graduation. He reported to the School of Infantry, Camp Geiger, Jacksonville, North Carolina for Marine Combat Training. He was then assigned to Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, Florida for his first Marine Occupational Specialty (MOS) School where he completed the Aviation Ordnance Core Course. He was then assigned to his second MOS school aboard Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, North Carolina where he earned the MOS 6541, Aviation Ordnance System Technician for Intermediate Maintenance, and was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.
Upon MOS school completion, Lance Corporal Baudanza reported for duty to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) 24 Ordnance Department, Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii in July 2006. He served as an Aviation Ordnance Team Member (TM). In August 2007, he was promoted to the rank of Corporal and continued daily operations as a Munitions Team Leader (TL).
In January 2010, Corporal Baudanza was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. In February 2010, Sergeant Baudanza deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 363/MALS-16 Forward, serving as a TL in Camp Leatherneck's Ammunition Supply Point. In September 2010 Sergeant Baudanza returned from Afghanistan to MALS-24 Ordnance Department where he served as the Aviation Ordnance Quality Assurance/Safety Observer (QA/SO), during this time Sergeant Baudanza requested orders for Drill Instructor Duty.
In April 2011, Sergeant Baudanza reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina, for Drill Instructor duty. After graduating Drill Instructor School in August 2011, Sergeant Baudanza reported for duty to Charlie Company, First Recruit Training Battalion (1st RTBN). There he continued to serve until he earned his successful tour as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor.
In August 2014, Sergeant Baudanza reported to MALS-29, MCAS New River, North Carolina where he served as the Ordnance Department's Ammunition Stock Recording System Assistant Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, Collateral Duty Inspector, and Platoon Sergeant. In addition to his regular duties, he served as the Command's Color Sergeant, Uniformed Victim Advocate, Black Belt Martial Arts Instructor, Combat Marksmanship Coach, Combat Marksmanship Trainer, and Lance Corporal Seminar Instructor. In October 2015, Sergeant Baudanza was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Once again, he filled the role as a QA/SO for the Munitions Work Center and earned his Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) qualification. In August 2017, Staff Sergeant Baudanza assumed the duties as the MALS-29 Ordnance Production Control (PC) Chief.
In January 2018, Staff Sergeant Baudanza was selected for Assistant Marine Officer Instructor duty and in May 2018 he reported to the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis, Maryland. In October 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and continued to serve as the 7th Company Senior Enlisted Leader. In addition to his regular duties, he served as the Enlisted Representative for the USNA Division II Hockey Team.
In August 2021, Gunnery Sergeant Baudanza reported to MALS-13, MCAS Yuma, Arizona where he served as the Ordnance Department's PC Chief, tasked with aiding Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 13's transition to the Marine Corps first one hundred percent fully operational F-35 MAG. In September 2022, he took the role as the Ordnance Department Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge. In March 2024, GySgt Baudanza was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant.
In April 2024, First Sergeant Baudanza assumed his current assignment as Inspector-Instructor First Sergeant, Bravo Company, 4th Combat Engineer Battalion.
First Sergeant Baudanza's personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal lieu of 2nd award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal lieu of 3rd award.
