First Sergeant Moore is a native of Rutherfordton, North Carolina. In August 2003 First Sergeant Moore enlisted in the Marine Corps and attended Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina with Bravo Company, First Recruit Training Battalion. He reported to the School of Infantry, Camp Geiger, North Carolina for Marine Combat Training in November 2003. In December 2003 Private Moore was assigned to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for MOS school where he completed the Motor Transportation Vehicle Operator's Course and earned the MOS of 3531 and was promoted to the rank of Private First Class on February 1, 2004. Private First Class Moore attended the Logistics Vehicle System Operator's Course and earned the MOS of 3533 and was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal on March 2, 2004.
In April 2004, Lance Corporal Moore reported for duty to 9th Engineer Support Battalion, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. In January 2005, Lance Corporal Moore deployed to Iraq with Combat Logistics Regiment 25. After returning from Iraq Lance Corporal Moore reported to the Joint Reception Center in Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. In August 2006, Lance Corporal Moore was promoted to the rank of Corporal.
In November 2006, Corporal Moore reported for duty to Marine Wing Support Group 27, Marine Wing Support Squadron 271 Cherry Point, North Carolina. During his tour he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from March 2007 to October 2007. He served as the Quality Control Chief for Motor Transportation Company. In November 2007, Corporal Moore was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He deployed a second time to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from March 2009 to September 2009. He served as the Platoon Sergeant for Motor Transportation Company.
In April 2010, Sergeant Moore attended Drill Instructor School aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina where he served as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor for Echo Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion.
In July 2013, Sergeant Moore reported for duty to Marine Aircraft Group 31, Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Beaufort, South Carolina. He served as the Platoon Sergeant for Motor Transportation Company and Squadron Color Sergeant. On April 2, 2014, Sergeant Moore was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
In June 2014, Staff Sergeant Moore reported for duty to 2D Marine Regiment Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was transferred to 2D Battalion 2D Marines and served as the Motor Transport Operations Chief. Staff Sergeant Moore deployed to Romania in support of Black Sea Rotational Force 14.2. During the deployment Staff Sergeant Moore served as the Motor Transport Operations Chief, Battalion Martial Arts Instructor Trainer, and SNCOIC for the Battalion Corporals Course.
In February 2015, Staff Sergeant Moore was transferred to 2D Marine Regiment where he served as the Motor Transport Operations Chief. In April 2016, Staff Sergeant Moore was transferred to Headquarters Company to serve as the Company Gunnery Sergeant and Company First Sergeant. In June 2017, Staff Sergeant Moore attended Drill Instructor School as a Course Challenger, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina; where he served as a Chief Drill Instructor for Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion.
In May 2018, Staff Sergeant Moore was selected to serve as a Squad Instructor for Drill Instructor School Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina. On August 1, 2018 Staff Sergeant Moore was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. In March 2019, Gunnery Sergeant Moore was selected to serve as the Academic Coordinator for Drill Instructor School East.
In September 2020, Gunnery Sergeant Moore reported for duty to 1st Battalion 12th Marines, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii to serve as the Motor Transportation Chief for Charlie Battery. Gunnery Sergeant Moore was frocked to his current rank in July 2022.
In July 2022 First Sergeant Moore reported for duty to Site Support, 4th CEB, 4th Marine Division, Company C, Lynchburg, Virginia to serve as the Inspector Instructor Unit Senior Enlisted Leader.
First Sergeant Moore's personal awards include the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars and the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star.
