First Sergeant Andrew J. Morgan

First Sergeant Andrew J. Morgan is a native of Delaware and was raised there.  After high school, he attended Delaware Technical and Community College where he earned his Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice and then enrolled at the University of Delaware where he majored in Criminal Justice, minored in English and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 2001 

In May 2005, Andrew enlisted in the Marine Corps and attended recruit training at MCRD Parris Island, SC.  After recruit training, Private First Class Morgan attended MOS school at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and graduated in November 2005 as a 1341, Heavy Equipment Mechanic.  Following MOS school, PFC Morgan was assigned to Bulk Fuel Company B in Wilmington, DE in Headquarters Platoon.  After being promoted in March 2006, Lance Corporal Morgan was deployed to Iraq in August 2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and was eventually attached to 9th ESB in Al Asad.  He was promoted to Corporal in January 2010 and in 2011, Corporal Morgan attended the Basic Motor Vehicle Operators Course in Fort Dix, NJ where he obtained motor transportation operator licenses that he held well into his service as a SNCO.  A promotion to Sergeant in October 2011 led to Sergeant Morgan attending the Bulk Fuel Specialist Course in Fort Lee, VA in 2013 where he obtained an additional MOS of 1391, Bulk Fuel Specialist.  After a promotion to Staff Sergeant in December 2014, Staff Sergeant Morgan attended the Equal Opportunity Representative course at Marine Forces Reserve Headquarters in New Orleans, LA in January 2017 and in August 2017, Staff Sergeant Morgan took part in Operation Ulchi Freedom Guardian in Camp Mujuk, South Korea where he filled a Bulk Fuel Officer billet.  He was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in January 2019 and in 2021, Gunnery Sergeant Morgan attended the Advanced Bulk Petroleum Course in Fort Lee, VA where he graduated at the top of his class.  His final role before his promotion to First Sergeant was serving as Bulk Fuel Co B’s Headquarters Platoon Commander / SNCOIC.  In April 2025, First Sergeant Morgan was promoted and is currently assigned as the Company First Sergeant at Kilo Company 3rd Battalion 25th Marines in Perrysburg, OH 

First Sergeant Morgan has served in many roles and billets throughout his career including Fireteam Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Guide, Embark Chief, Heavy Equipment Chief and Company Color Sergeant.  His passion for his Marines and volunteerism has led him to serve as the Company Equal Opportunity Representative, Company Community Relations Coordinator and Birthday Ball Coordinator where he has participated in over 200 funeral honors details, planned and participated in hundreds of Community Relations and Toys for Tots events and Color Guards and been the primary planner for Bulk Fuel Co B’s birthday ball since 2017 

First Sergeant Andrew J Morgan’s personal awards include the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal (5th award), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with gold star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with “M” device and bronze hour glass
