First Sergeant Bryan K. Williams

First Sergeant Bryan K. Williams is a native of Fairfax, Virginia.  He enlisted into the Marine Corps in March of 2006 and reported to Kilo Company, 3d Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina, in March of 2006.  Upon graduating from recruit training, he reported to Marine Combat Training, School of Infantry, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.  After completing Marine Combat Training, he reported to Camp Johnson, North Carolina for duty as a student in Motor Transport Mechanic School in July 2006.   

In December 2006, Lance Corporal Williams reported to 2d Maintenance Battalion, 2d Marine Logistics Group, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.  He was assigned to General Support Maintenance Company, Fuel and Electric Platoon.  During this assignment, he held the billet of a Fuel and Electric Repair Technician and Section Chief.  In March 2009 he deployed with Combat Logistics Company 151, Combat Logistics Regiment 25 to the Helmand Province of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. 

In April 2010, Corporal Williams reported to Bravo Company, 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2d Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.  Upon arrival Corporal Williams attended Basic Infantry Marine, Infantry Rifleman and Light Armored Vehicle Crewman courses. He held the following billets: Headquarters Platoon Sergeant, Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Gunner and LAV Commander.  In 2011, Sergeant Williams deployed to the Helmand Province of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with Bravo Company.  He served as a Team Leader and LAV-25 Gunner.   

In June 2013, Sergeant Williams received orders to Marine Corps Security Force Regiment at Camp Allen, Virginia.  While serving with 6th Platoon, 3rd Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team (FAST) Company he was assigned as the Platoon Guide.  In May of 2014, Staff Sergeant Williams was reassigned as the Platoon Sergeant for 2nd Platoon, 3rd FAST Company.  In June 2014 Staff Sergeant Williams completed Infantry Unit Leaders Course at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In January of 2015, Staff Sergeant Williams deployed to Naval Security Activity Bahrain for theater security and contingency operations in the Central Command Area of Operations. In July 2015 Staff Sergeant Williams was transferred to the Headquarters Platoon and assigned as the Company Operations Chief.   

In June 2016, Staff Sergeant Williams reported to 2nd Platoon, Bravo Company, 2d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion for duty as Platoon Sergeant. In July 2016 Staff Sergeant Williams completed Light Armored Reconnaissance Leaders Course in Camp Pendleton, California. In February of 2018 Staff Sergeant Williams deployed with 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment on the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit. In November 2018 Gunnery Sergeant Williams was transferred to Headquarters Platoon and served as the Company Operations Chief for the remaining two years of this tour.   

In July 2020, Gunnery Sergeant Williams reported to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion at Camp Pendleton, California for duty as the Headquarters and Service Company Operations Chief. In November 2020 Gunnery Sergeant Williams transferred to Charlie Company as the Company Operations Chief. In July 2021 Gunnery Sergeant Williams was designated as the Charlie Company First Sergeant. In August 2021 Gunnery Sergeant Williams deployed with 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment on the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.   

In June 2022 First Sergeant Williams reported to 1st Transportation Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group aboard Camp Pendleton, California for duty as the Alpha, Bravo and H&S Company First Sergeant. 

In July 2023 First Sergeant Williams reported for duty in his current billet at Detachment A, MWSS-471 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania as the Site Support Senior Enlisted Leader.   

First Sergeant Williams' personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal with 2 gold stars in lieu of 3rd award.
