Sergeant Major Nathaniel J. Cantiberos
Command Senior Enlisted Leader
Marine Wing Communication Squadron-48

Sergeant Major Cantiberos assumed his current post as the MWCS-48 Sergeant Major on January 13, 2024. A Native of Seattle,
Washington, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on August 7, 1998, out of Everett, Washington. He graduated from recruit
training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego, California, in November 1998 and reported to Marine Combat Training at
Camp Pendleton, California, shortly after. He was assigned as a Crash, Fire, and Rescuemen as his military occupational specialty.

In January 1999, Sergeant Major Cantiberos reported to Marine Corps Air Station, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. In November 2003 joined the
Marine Corps Reserve on Joint Base Lewis-Mcchord, Tacoma, Washington. In November of 2005 he received orders to Camp
Johnson, North Carolina as a Supply Administration and Operations Specialist.

In January 2007, Sergeant Major Cantiberos deployed to Al Anbar Province, Iraq, with 2nd LAAD in support of Operation Iraqi
Freedom.

In February 2008, he reported to Combat Service Logistics Battalion-23, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Tacoma Washington as the
platoon Sergeant. In 2010 he served as the section chief until February 2011 when he deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in
support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

In June 2012, Sergeant Major Cantiberos reported to Combat Logistics Battalion-23, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, Washington
as the Company Gunnery Sergeant.

In May 2014, Sergeant Major Cantiberos reported to the Environmental Services Division, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Tacoma,
Washington to serve as the Team Leader. In January 2018, Sergeant Major Cantiberos reported to the Readiness Support Program on
Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, Washington.

In June 2020, Sergeant Major Cantiberos reported to Operations Company, Intelligence Support Battalion, Buckley Space Force Base,
Aurora, Colorado to serve as the Company First Sergeant.

Sergeant Major Cantiberos holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and a Master's
Degree in Management with a concentration in Organizational Leadership.
