Sergeant Major Jerome R. Holloway
Sergeant Major Jerome R. Holloway was born on August 1, 1975 in Ashland, Alabama. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Unites States Marine Corps on November 13, 1996 and graduated from 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC.
In March 1997, Private First Class Holloway completed Marine Combat Training from the School of Infantry at Camp Lejeune, NC.
From April 1997 to April 1998, Lance Corporal Holloway was stationed at Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA and was selected to assist with the manpower realignment of over 3,000 military and civilian positions aboard the installation.
From May 1998 to April 2001, Corporal Holloway was stationed with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Camp Lejeune, NC. Corporal Holloway was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served as the Operation and Administrative Chief during two Mediterranean deployments about USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) and USS Saipan (LHA-2). During these deployments he was in direct support of Allied Force/Shining Hope in Albania and the Adriatic Sea, Avid Response in Turkey and Joint Guardian in Kosovo.
From May 2001 to April 2004, Staff Sergeant Holloway was stationed at United States Central Command in Tampa, FL, as the Executive Assistant to the Command Sergeant Major. Staff Sergeant Holloway was deployed to numerous locations throughout the 20 Countries of US Central Command’s area of responsibility, to include direct support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
From May 2004 to July 2007, Staff Sergeant Holloway was stationed at Recruiting Station Nashville, Nashville, TN, as the Administrative Chief and was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. Gunnery Sergeant Holloway was nominated and selected to interview for a Joint Billet at the White House Military Office (WHMO) in Washington, DC.
From July 2007 to January 2011, Gunnery Sergeant Holloway was stationed at the WHMO in Washington, DC, as the Administrative Chief for Policy, Plans and Requirements. Gunnery Sergeant Holloway traveled to military installations to interview and select service member’s from all services to fill positions with WHMO. During this time Gunnery Sergeant conducted over 700 interviews for both military and civilian personnel.
From April 2011 to June 2012, Gunnery Sergeant Holloway was an Individual Mobilization Augmentee and was assigned to Marine Corps Forces Reserves, New Orleans, LA, as a Reserve Transition Advisor.
From June 2012 to April 2013, Gunnery Sergeant Holloway was in the Selected Marine Corps Reserve and was assigned to Marine Aircraft Group-49, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, MJ, as the Reserve Admin Chief.
From May 2013 to June 2015, First Sergeant Holloway was the Company First Sergeant for Bulk Fuel Company B, 6th Engineer Support Battalion in Wilmington, DE.
From June 2015 to June 2017, First Sergeant Holloway was the Company First Sergeant for Echo Company, 4th Combat Engineer Battalion in Bessemer, AL.
From June 2017 to May 2019, Sergeant Major Holloway became the Battalion Sergeant Major for Combat Logistic Battalion 25 in Red Bank, NJ.
Sergeant Major Holloway’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and the Presidential Service Badge.
Sergeant Major Holloway graduated from Saint Leo University with a Bachelor degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Management from National-Louis University.
