Sergeant Major Michael T. Perrault
Inspector-Instructor Command Senior Enlisted Leader
1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment

Sergeant Major Perrault assumed his current post as the Inspector Instructor Command Senior Enlisted Leader for 1st Battalion, 25th Marines, Fort Devens, Massachusetts, on March 4, 2023. A third generation Marine born in New Bern, North Carolina, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps delayed entry program in November 2003 out of Salem, New Hampshire. He graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina in December, 2004 and completed Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, North Carolina and Marine Aviation Supply School in Meridian, Mississippi shortly thereafter. 

In April 2005, Sergeant Major Perrault reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 26, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station New River, where he served as an Aviation Supply Specialist, deploying twice to Al Anbar Province, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. 
 
In July 2008, he reported to the Marine Combat Instructor Course at Camp Geiger, North Carolina and was subsequently assigned as a Marine Combat Instructor for Kilo Company, Marine Combat Training Battalion, School of Infantry East. 
 
In January 2012, upon successful completion of his special duty assignment, he received unaccompanied orders to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 36, 3d Marine Aircraft Wing, Camp Futenma, Okinawa, Japan where he again served as an Aviation Supply Specialist. In January 2013, he again reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 26, Marine Corps Air Station New River, deploying once aboard the USS America (LHA-6) in support of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South. 
 
In January 2016, he reported to Headquarters Company, 6th Marines, 2d Marine Division, where he served as a Civil-Military Operations Planner Chief and Training Chief. During this tour, he deployed to Bost/Lashkar Gah, Helmand District, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Resolute Support Mission and served as a Combined Joint Operations Center Watch Chief and Foreign Security Force Advisor. 
 
In August 2018, he reported to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Norfolk, Virginia where he served as a Fleet Support Liaison until his selection and frocking to the rank of First Sergeant in July 2019. 
 
In August 2019, he reported to 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, 2d Marine Division where he served as a Unit Senior Enlisted Leader for Company A and Headquarters and Service Company, deploying once to Camp Schwab, Okinawa, Japan in support of a rotational Unit Deployment Program and participating in multiple Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluations and Infantry Training Exercise/MAGTF Warfighting Exercise (MWX). In November 2022, he was selected and reassigned to Headquarters Company, 6th Marines to serve as the Unit Senior Enlisted Leader until his selection and frocking to his current rank.
 
Sergeant Major Perrault's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars and “C” device, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three gold stars, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.

He is a distinguished graduate of the SNCO Career Course, Advanced Course, and the Air Force Senior NCO Academy and has completed various other professional military education courses, to include the Cornerstone Commander's Course, 1stSgt/MSgt Seminar, First Sergeant's Course, Senior Enlisted Legal Course, Senior Enlisted Joint PME I and II, and the Naval War College Primary Enlisted PME.

He is an active member of his community, serving as a member of his local rotary club and volunteer/Incorporator at the Cathedral of the Pines National War Memorial in Rindge, New Hampshire.
