Lieutenant Colonel Tyler C. Quinn
Inspector-Instructor
4th Law Enforcement Battalion

Lieutenant Colonel Quinn is a native of Hartford, CT and was raised on various Marine Corps posts and stations. He commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in May 2007 through the NROTC program. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminology from North Carolina State University, and masters degrees from Marine Corps University.

Following The Basic School and the U.S. Army Military Police Basic Officer Leadership Course, he was completed a pilot program for the new USMC, Basic Military Police Officer Course. From 2008 to 2010, he served as Platoon Commander and Executive Officer with Military Police Company, 3d MLG and as the OIC for Camp Courtney PMO. While stationed on Okinawa, he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 9.1 with Security Company, CLB-4 (FWD) and participated in exercise Freedom Banner with Combat Logistics Regiment 35. In June 2010, he executed orders to Camp Pendleton, CA and was deployed from MP Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group as the Company Executive Officer for Security Company, CLR-15 (FWD) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 10.2.

Lieutenant Colonel Quinn served his B-billed at MCRD San Diego from 2011 to 2014. During his tour he was a Series Commander and Company Commander with Company F, 2d Recruit Training Battalion. He also held the billets of Future Operations Officer, G-3 Operations, and Aide de Camp to the Commanding General, MCRD San Diego/WRR. In July 2014, he executed orders to Quantico, VA for professional military education at Expeditionary Warfare School.

From 2016 to 2017, Lieutenant Colonel Quinn was assigned to 2d Law Enforcement Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC. He served as the Headquarters and Service Company Commander, Headquarters Group, II MEF from May 2015 to June 2016. He returned to 2d Law Enforcement Battalion and completed his tour as the Operations Officer in 2017. In July 2017, Lieutenant Colonel Quinn returned to Quantico, VA and graduated from Command and Staff College in June 2018.

In 2018, Lieutenant Colonel Quinn moved to Okinawa, Japan to serve as the Executive Officer, 3d Law Enforcement Battalion, until the summer of 2020. He completed his tour on Okinawa as as the Future Operations Officer, III MEF Information Group in 2021. Following this, Lieutenant Colonel Quinn attended Advanced Intermediate Level School. He then completed a utilization tour as the Plans Officer for Training Command from 2022 to 2024.

Lieutenant Colonel Quinn reported for duty as the Inspector Instructor, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion in June 2024. Lieutenant Colonel Quinn's personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd award) and the Combat Action Ribbon. Lieutenant Colonel Quinn is married and has two children.
