Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jeff Daniel Pawelski is a native of Reading, Pennsylvania. He attended Conrad Weiser High School in Robesonia, Pennsylvania and enlisted in the Marine Corps on 21 July, 1998. After graduation from recruit training and Marine Combat Training he attended the Basic Automotive Mechanic Course at Camp Johnson, North Carolina. His first duty assignment was 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1st Force Service Support Group, Camp Pendleton, California, where he served as an Organizational Automotive Mechanic and later as the Quality Control Noncommissioned Officer. He was promoted to Corporal in May, 2000 and Sergeant in July, 2001.
In 2002, Sergeant Pawelski was transferred to Battery I, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, Reading, Pennsylvania, serving on the Inspector-Instructor staff as the Motor Transport Chief. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant in December, 2005.
In 2006, Staff Sergeant Pawelski attended Drill Instructor School, Parris Island, South Carolina where he was recognized as a distinguished graduate and later assigned to Golf Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion to serve as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor. Staff Sergeant Pawelski attended the Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival course and follow on training as a Marine Combat Instructor/Trainer of Water Survival, he served eight months as the Staff Deck Safety at the Combat Training Pool on Parris Island, South Carolina.
In 2009, Staff Sergeant Pawelski transferred to 2nd Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment to serve as the Battalion Motor Transport Maintenance Chief and Environmental Compliance Officer. He was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in September, 2010 and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 12.1 in April, 2012 serving as the Battalion Motor Transport Maintenance Chief and Headquarters Battery Gunnery Sergeant. He returned from a successful deployment in November, 2012. In 2012 he was selected to Military Occupational Specialty 3510, Motor Transport Maintenance Officer, and reported to Warrant Officer Basic Course, Quantico, Virginia in January, 2013.
In July, 2013, Warrant Officer Pawelski was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 3d Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan to serve as the Battalion Motor Transport Officer. During this time he was deployed on several occasions in support of exercises across the pacific theater including South Korea, Philippines, as well as training within Combined Arms Training Center Fuji. He was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 2 in August, 2014.
In August, 2016, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Pawelski was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 172 to serve as the Motor Transport Maintenance Officer. Chief Warrant Officer 2 Pawelski was deployed as Aviation Ground Support Element Officer in Charge during Korean Marine Exercise Program 17-9 on the Korean Peninsula. In December, 2018 he was promoted to his current rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3.
Chief Warrant Officer 3 Pawelski currently serves as the Inspector-Instructor, Maintenance Services Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 23, Combat Logistics Regiment 4, 4th Marine Logistics Group in Sacramento, California.
Chief Warrant Officer Pawelski’s personal awards include (2) Navy Commendation Medals, (4) Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
