As 2020 comes to a close, Lt. Gen. David G. Bellon, Commander, Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES), wishes the Marines and sailors of MARFORRES a happy and safe holiday season. In a year that has presented a unique set of challenges, Reserve Marines have risen to the occasion across the globe and will continue to do so as 2021 presents its own set of challenges.

Nightmare 96 is an educational one and a half minute safety brief for the upcoming holiday break. Highlighting safe driving practices, time management, drinking responsibly and weapons safety. Lance Cpl. Jane Schmuckatelli, played by Cpl. Tessa Watts a combat correspondent, is driving drunk during the last few hours of a long weekend break, trying to make it back to her base before morning accountability. She runs out of gas and is stranded on the side of a deserted road, as her corporal texts her wondering about her welfare, she becomes overwhelmed by the consequences of her actions. Suddenly, Schmuckatelli wakes up in her own room on the first day of the extended weekend. The Marine Corps Band New Orleans celebrated the holiday season Dec. 9, 2013 during the first concert of their series titled "A Very Marine Christmas." The band played self-arranged holiday pieces and classical favorites.
