RILEY XANTEN II

About

Marines from 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in exercise Riley Xanten II, in Burwash, Ontario, Feb. 3-5, 2017. During the exercise, the Marines joined soldiers from the Canadian Armed Forces to exchange knowledge and increase proficiency in cold weather tactics, survival skills, shelter building, ice fishing, and more.

Marines with Company I, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, from Buffalo, N.Y. and soldiers with The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry, Canadian Forces pose for a photo April 22 following the completion of a small-scale, 48-hour, bilateral exercise between the U.S. Marine Corps and Canadian Forces. The purpose of the training was to exchange infantry strategies and tactics in efforts to further enhance relationships and interoperability between the two military components.
