ABOUT 

Mountain Warfare Training Exercise (MTX) 2022 sees 1st Battalion, 24th Marines (Reinforced) conducting Mountain Exercise 4-22 aboard Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, Calif., in order to sustain individual warfighting  proficiency and improve, sustain, and evaluate company-level offensive and defensive tasks as well as battalion-level planning and command and control.

U.S. Marines Conducts Range Training
U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Elliott Russell, a machine gunner, with 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, goes over proper firing procedures of a .50 caliber machine gun during a range familiarization training as part of ARCTIC EDGE 2025 (AE25), at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 16th, 2025. Specialized Arctic training generates valuable lessons learned for warfighters and enablers ensuring they can execute their assigned missions in any environment. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic.
