Capt. Joseph Lizarraga, Inspector/Instructor, Battery G, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines, stands before Lt. Col. Rob Roberson, Commanding Officer, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines, as the citation is read for Lizarraga’s Bronze Star. Lizarraga earned the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement while on a seven month deployment to Iraq. During that time, Lizarraga lead 80 Marines from the Trenton, N.J., area in detainee operations for a regional detention facility.
